Why are parrots like this?

It is an odd trend I have noticed recently.

My grandparents bought a 20-year-old African Grey back in the 90s. There were two things it hated:
    1. The vacuum cleaner
    2. Women with red nail polish
If you were a woman with red nail polish that parrot would actively attack you. I'd say parrots are smart and opinionated with amazing pattern recognition to the point of pathology. I assume in this African Grey's case he just met a c**t of a woman with red nail polish. I'm sure it's similar for OPs pic.

I'd be more worried over the fact that the "wife" hasn't been able to bond with this dog despite presumably living with it for 4 fricking years. Nothing to do with gender at that point.

Why do they bite just women or just men? When they're raised in captivity they figure out our sexual dimorphism pretty quickly, and they'll pick one to believe is the "right" one to court, then run with that for the rest of their life. That parrot sees women as competition and men as potential mates.

they just know the man fella is the one who’s been giving them seed & feed all their life and they want NO competition

Male parrots tend to be the more social ones with lot of people and other birds. Female parrots tend to socialize mostly with their mate.

      >they figure out our sexual dimorphism pretty quickly
Pretty impressive. Not many can do this

they just know the man fella is the one who’s been giving them seed & feed all their life and they want NO competition

      >giving them seed & feed all their life and they want NO competition
TOTALLY understandable. I get them now

it has to do with a lot of factors. i have geckos that get noticeably uncomfortable (deep, rapid breathing while in "FRICK FRICK FRICK I'M INVISIBLE IGNORE ME" mode against the bark") when women speak around them, meanwhile I can be shouting and they don't care and don't react in the same way when other men talk in my office. I'm pretty sure for them its the pitch of the voice, not sure if they can differentiate between my voice and the voices of other men.

If there are signs in there warning women that they will get bitten, why did the woman stuck her hand there to get bitten?

This girl I was seeing for a while had 2 parrots who did the exact opposite and only bit men, she told me
I didn't believe her (my thought was 'can animals even tell the difference?'), and let one of them perch on my finger. It starts biting the shit out of my hand, but I was so drunk I didn't instinctively jerk my hand away and throw it off, so it ended it tearing a little chunk out. I still have the scar, 9 years later.

The tldr on bird smelling and tasting is they have less receptors but we dont know if they need more or less to have similar sensation. Also all smells aren't the same a very a small amount chicken rotting in your trashcan is enough make you feel gross and take it outside or even the slightest off taste of something bitter in something that's usually not is usually enough to make you stop eating it. Certain smells and tastes have more adverse reactions even if their ppm is low.
