I'm about 300% more concerned about a GSD bite versus a pibbles bite. GSDs have long ass mouths filled with a lot of long sharp teeth while pibble mouths are wideset and have a lot of crushing teeth with just the canines as sharp long teeth. Pibble bites hurt, GSD bites bleed.
GSDs bite due to fear and resource guarding. Pitbulls are more prey driven than wolves and bite to kill. It’s why they’re overrepresented in fatal attacks, but also don’t show as much aggressive behavior. Predation is a different emotion for the dog.
Also ignore KC standards. For most of history dogs breeds were more loosely defined by general type and purpose. And still are for most people with dogs. Most species and subspecies vary too much to fit into one breed standard. How can a healthy line of dogs be much different?
Answer: standard conformation correlates with poor health. so they aren’t.
Dogs that do this typically can’t distinguish between burglars and visitors. They only see skin color and gender if someone is a stranger because dogs aren’t as smart as us, and pitbulls aren’t as smart as real dogs.
