wtf is this?
I suspect some kind of fly due to the stubby antennas. My cat tried to eat it and I thought it was a wasp at first.

Hey I saw one of those too, but on the inside glass of my front door. Since it wasn't moving at all and seemed pretty slow, I grabbed it with a paper towel and let it outside. It didn't fit at all and needed to be blown off the paper towel.

hermetia illucens / black soldier fly
    my favorite maggots
I was scared of these as a kid because they looked like a stinging insect but they're less than harmless, they don't even have a mouth

I raised thousands of these one year, they're very appealing in adult and maggot form, apart from being very useful as well

What the hell is wrong with you?
      Why would you raise maggots?
Also it's weird because I'm 30, always lived in the same city, and this is my first time seeing one.

NTA but they have an high calcium to phosphorus ratio and this make great feed for chickens and insectivorous reptiles.

            >As shown above, countless studies documented the adverse effects of insects on the human body. Farmed insects can contain parasites harmful to humans, weaken the immune system, trigger allergies, and even deplete vitamins from the body. What better way to create a generation that is even more dependent on big pharma

Even though I love noticing conspiracies. I think the real reason is for economic efficiency. They're obsessed with regulating and having control over every conceivable part of human life. They don't care if we like it. As long as it gives them more control. That's why they want us all to live like pic related on the right, and outlaw rural living (agenda 21).

Food imported from another island where everyone is an oppressed slave and anyone asking for higher wages or sick leave is shot by the cartel.

This ensures the people have no choice but to serve their rulers as their rulers are the only ones who can feed them. No one else has the capital or clout to import food to the island.

Now realize, islands need not be separated by sea. Capitalism or communism, the rulers will want you on an island and the food on another, with some separation to ensure you can not just get it if you want it and must go through an entity that is state controlled, explicitly or implicitly. Food can also refer to other things like steel, lumber, or fuel.
