The real answer is that humans evolved language proccessing in the brain, so if you dont have those language processing regions, you can't use language. Other animals don't have the right hardware. Even people who have brain damage in those areas often can't appreciate or generate language.
Some clever animals ie: dogs can process basic language syntax included but not generate it. Dogs have an area of the brain analogous to the one we use to understand words, but not the complimentary word generator and complex connections.
Even smarter animals ie: african greys can both process and generate basic statements. And we dont know why.
No abstraction, incapable of using symbols.
Their communication is material, direct, literal. Intelligent animals can get close to using symbols: using cause and effect, with buttons for example. They learn that pressing a button (cause) gives them cuddles (effect) from humans. But that's pretty far away from using symbols, like us.
great argument for eugenics right there. disgusting. that thing is not even human even if it vaguely looks like it, it has no functioning cerebrum. it is incapable of any higher thought and is only alive because it's cerebellum is "functional" enough to keep it breathing. it's like keeping a braindead person on life support so you can dress them up and make tiktok videos with them.
I understand abortion might be a difficult decision but Jesus frick just try again and hope the next one isn't FUBAR instead of bringing this poor thing into the world to live a short painful life. >parents pocketed most of the charity money and ended up divorcing

I'm not for abortion, but I've been aware of this video for forever, and can't help but feel sorry for this kid, and realize that maybe he's just better off not being.
Parrots don't talk, they mimic. They don't understand the complexities of language, they just know how to mimic noises and humans condition them with treats to make a certain noise when you put a certain object near them. Or they associate sounds like cursing with being upset and use them accordingly, birds have no capacity for language or independent speech in general.
are we not just copying phrases we learned growing up? I see what you're getting at, and clearly humans are a lot better at it than other animals. But, when it boils down to it, I think we're the same, and they're doing the same thing in their own way
Elephants, crows, orcas and most whales can and do talk a lot
>Why can't animals talk?
They can, you just don't know how to understand them.

Why is there a photo of a microcephalic child as the thread image?
OP thinks animals lack a PFC like the child, and that’s the reason for the absence of language, because of an absence of higher reasoning.
Yes, but he's wrong. Children with microcephaly aren't animals. I have the disorder and made it to 33.
What are you doing in the computer tard.
Go eat a fruit or something
That's not a nice word you know?

They do talk havent you seen dr doolittle?
it's a very specific adaptation, it's like asking why don't humans change color to blend in with the environment
They can.

Cats can talk, they just choose not to.

that image is photoshopped
Actually, that is a picture of me as a child.
Is it? I assumed it was just severe microcephaly. Either way, abominations like this do exist in reality.
That looks more like anencephaly to me, and they rarely survive beyond several days if they're born alive so yeah it's photoshopped
Many survived into adulthood actually and were used in freak shows
no, read the post again. microcephalia (small brain) isn‘t lethal while anencephalia (severe lack of brain) almost always is.
homie lookin like a goomba
Could be.

It never said that in the video
One of the comments did so I did some digging: https://steemit.com/life/@sarah.riedel/jaxon-strong-exposing-the-reality
Holy shit, it's true
I'm not for abortion, but I've been aware of this video for forever, and can't help but feel sorry for this kid, and realize that maybe he's just better off not being.
I think everyone everywhere has felt that way about someone or something at some point in their life
Why would they need to? Loud grunts and noises/high pitch screeching is enough
Also who said they can’t
Good and true posts
imagine we someday find orangutans genuinely do know how to talk
honestly the thought of trying to teach an animal any language seems like a nightmare
https://www.youtube.com/@NativLang/videos
check out this guy's last 3 videos
Orangutans are capable of speech, they just don't want to talk to us
Who can blame em?
they're dumb and also don't have a mouth and throat like ours that would allow it
if you notice animals that aren't dumb and have a mouth and throat that do allow it do talk, like parrots.

You're wrong, but that's alright. It's still rather nascent.
>they associate sounds like cursing with being upset and use them accordingly
is this not what we do?
they cant use semantics to express their thoughts in an unique and organized way, thats the meaning of language
i'm not usually trying to use semantics to express my thoughts in a unique way when i start repeating "shit" over and over when i spill my food

Yuo are a retqrd....
Are you having language difficulties too? Start by copying the people around you
moron. Plenty of parrots have been observed using words in the appropriate context
they r not dumb
U r dumb
