Feeding miced meat to birds like kookaburras and Australian magpies is terrible because it deprives them of the calcium they would otherwise get from insect and crustacean shells, lizard bones, etc, so their beaks get soft and snap off and even baby birds break their legs when they land after their first flight out of the nest.

My good anon, I have never seen anyone in my life who reads Breitbart and whatever the second one is. In 95% of cases when an animal develops a condition from metabolic deficiency, it's not because it's being fed, but despite of. And if it's at the point where it has some serious condition, like brittle bones or gaunt, then it's safe to say that without the feeding the animal would have just been fking dead. Is it good to feed animals white bread? Well considering the alternative is it starving to death,the answer is yes. And the take "bread bad for health" is true but completely moronic simultaneously. Yea, no shit, it's not healthy. It's not particularly good for humans either. But it's cheap and available, while the healthy feeding alternatives, while technically not expensive if you know what you're doing, are time consuming to make (ready solutions are always really expensive, have fun paying 10$ for some bird bread).
