Also, I have pulled pitbulls off of people. They're only strong if you're weak. Average male is double to triple the average pitbull's weight and they seriously can't get out of a bear hug so long as you watch out for their heads. Their skulls are so thick and hard that bumping your skull will hurt it but not them.

I don't change direction because I'm always on my skateboard. Two days ago I had a pit approach me so I hopped off my board and swung at it's face and chased it back home. I was hoping the owner would be around so I could beat it in front of them. I'm gonna go back down that street all week.
I only ever encounter pitbulls when they're with their owner in a store or something. And since they're all properly socialized, it's actually a better-than-usual chance to get to pet a dog, because that aggression turns into affection really quickly. In about 15 years, I've never met a pit that did anything worse than violently wag their tail when they saw me. They especially love the two-handed pet.

Just smile and nod at the owner and don't flinch away from the dog. Keep walking at a normal speed and don't make any sudden moves. All of this is much easier, when you've got a .380, with the safety off and your finger on the trigger, in your coat pocket.

I factually almost got pulled off my bicycle one time on the way to work by an actual aggressive pitbull that was chained, with a metal chain, to his dog house that was in front of the owner's house on a front yard with no fence to block him in. Gave it a good stomach pit shout and it backed off and apparently, a white stray dog harassed afterwards. Ex-gf saw it and even heard the dogs fighting and people shouting no, no and all that. I started to take a different route because of that neighbor but eventually got tired of taking it and when I returned a couple of weeks later the dog was not there.
It broke the metal chain too, not what it was attacked to.
However, despite the experience, I know several other pitbulls, one is a mastiff, and they're all incredibly friendly to me. Even one that was growling and running to the front door from a bedroom when a friend of mine took me to his friends house, I open up like I do all dogs and that one that was initially aggressive took a liking to me right away.
Never happens irl and we get videos uploaded all the time. They're never carrying a gun and nobody would back the pitbull that initiates aggression.
