At least feed the dog soft food if you aren't going to take him to the vet. If you can't afford feeding just canned food, soak the kibble in some hot water until it's soft. Just make sure it isn't hot when you give it to the dog.

Nothing can fix periodontal disease like the one pictured. If you want to prevent this than feed your dog raw meaty bones or some sort of “tartar-off” chemical made by Marlboros’ dog supplies equivalent.

Those look like they need to be pulled by a vet and then the dog fed soft food for the rest of his life. Actually, feed him soft food now. Eating is probably painful for him. He doesn't need to be chewing hard kibble with those teeth. Gums look infected so just cleaning the teeth wouldn't be enough if I'm right about there being an infection.

Sorta bad, you can rub enzyme paste on them with a dishcloth (brushes - nah, sometimes they bite through them, but won't bite through your finger)

Really bad, with rotten teeth and inflamed gums, the vet will either put them under and remove the teeth, or let them fall out, depending on their condition

if that's your dog its teeth are fully rotted and it has extremely infected gums.
take it to a vet or it will die of infection, it's likely in a lot of pain as is.

      >worried about a 0.69% risk of death from general anesthesia when a tooth infection will also kill your dog if left untreated

Well damn. Im going to try going to the weird pet teeth cleaning business i found because its $200 hopefully it helps him feel better and live longer

You'll really do anything to avoid taking him to a vet won't you?
My family and myself have had scores of pets and not once has one died due to anaesthesia complications, if that's seriously the only thing keeping you from giving your dog proper medical care.

Well it’s that and I can’t afford it. What can thee vet do that the dental cleaning business can’t?

Give your dog antibiotics, actually assess the damage.

Idk they have a ton of good reviews. Is it really a waste of money if it’s all I can afford?

I don't think you understand, dental cleaning is a preventative measure, they can't fix rotten teeth and infections.
take them there if you want but it's not a replacement for seeing an actual veterinarian.

      The anesthesia risk though.
I found some weird business that supposedly cleans teeth without anesthesia though so maybe that would be worth it

They said they have fixed bad ones before
I figured if anything a couple would just fall out afterwards

This, they will put it to sleep for a bit and clean it's teeth thoroughly. I get my dogs teeth cleaned like that about twice a year. Also just brush your dogs teeth. It's not that hard. They make plenty of tooth pastes dogs love. It's also just an overall good experience for your dog to consistently have. Working with dog's mouths is important when you don't want them to bite. Dogs are honestly just so fun to have around and with the internet it's easier than ever to train a dog properly. Only lazy shitters have untrained dogs nowadays.

Mine would never bite but he would not let me brush his teeth he would flail around and run away.
He also would never actually chew on dentistix or anything he would essentially swallow them. He’s like 12 years old now

A dogs teeth have very long roots, a vet cannot remove all the teeth because it would weaken the jaw bone far too much. However yes take it to the vet, your dog is in a lot of pain.
