Are Abelisaurids the greatest land predators of all time?

>no arms
it's like a dick on legs
He's just speedmaxxing
>I only have two usable limbs and if I get so much as a broken nail, I'll die a slow painful death (see Big Al)
>Bro, why'd you bite my arm off? Whatever, didn't really need it.
it always fascinates me how two paths of evolution could be so different, and each species is successful in its own right
big al had so many problems, 19 broken bones and i think he was stabbed by a steggo
but thats not bad as the dilophosaurus holotype who had years of suffering because one of the arms had a developmental problems on top being broken and didnt heal correctly
>big al had so many problems, 19 broken bones and i think he was stabbed by a steggo
thats just a typical day in london
>Hooved fucking alligators were a thing
>Gatorsnakes weren't
Fucking how?

?
boverisuchus, it was only 40 million years ago
Boverisuchus was one of the various terrestrial crocodiles that lived in Eocene Europe. It's claws became primative hooves to help it run. It was smaller than the therapod sized Sebecid crocodilians like Dentaneosuchus, but still one of the largest predators on the European archipelago.
There is a reason why crocodiles outlived dinosaurs, they are just superior
Are they as cool though?
Yes
Bitch please
I honestly feel bad for that croc 🙁
did they have feathers though
Nope, this is the one theropod where they found scutes onn its back.
I want to eat it's neck like it's on one of those rotating meat kebobs in the middle east.
How are things like stamina and eyesight determined through fossil evidence?
That filename made me laugh. I guess eyesight 8s through the size of the oculars and their position. Stamina though I have no fucking clue. I don't know how you'd gague whether or not a fossil was a pursuit predator.
>I don't know how you'd gague whether or not a fossil was a pursuit predator
I dunno about abelisaurids but in T. rex they assumed it because it's feet have more fused metatarsals which are better for endurance since they reduce the amount those bones can move with each step thus reducing energy loss, i would guess its something similar
you check the skeleton, because whats where the muscles attach to and based on those you tell how much muscle as attached to something, so you can determine how fast something can move
Dinosaurs, like modern birds, have relatively hollow bones that can store air, they also probably shared their super efficient lungs, meaning they can keep going without running out of air for long periods of time.
They probably needed a fuck ton of calories, though.
