This is from june but the current heat wave has pretty much the same shape with colder temperatures. I want to ask, what is the immediate, effective cause for this change in european climate? I'm not talking about global warming, i'm talking about the subsaharian anticyclon moving towards continental europe with increasing frequency. Some say it's because of the weak gulf current, other say it's a periodical variation in the axis of earth's rotation. What causes this?

In fact this entire summer has been really cold. It's been like the coldest summer in 20 year, literally. And not just where I live, throughout the whole country.
Like I had to wear socks in late July. It was nuts. It was REMARKABLY cold for weeks on end.
