yet another unique and amazing animal that will soon be exterminated because chinks can't just accept that they have small dicks.
kill everyone who believes in traditional chinese "medicine"
filters out dust in summer and warms the air before entering lungs in winter. they live in one of those climate zones where there's an unusually high temperature range between summer and winter. also it helps attract mates.
Yeah. Them. Had one in 12ga. All the clays are belong to *BLAM*BLAM*BLAM*. Wasn't sporting, but man, high brass against the redneck in-laws was fuuuuun.
males also have a more prominent nose, which they shake around to attract females. one possible reason they got that big was because larger ones were positively selected by females
Actually their noses aren't just aesthetic, having a bigger nose means that you heat up the air you breathe in more effectively, and since these guys live in the subarctic tundra of siberia, the ones with better cold resistant adaptations were more likely to survive and reproduce.
I think we need to stop fricking around and start reintroducing this animal across the north pole, like Canada, Alaska, and Scandinavia, like we did for Muskox in the 70's.
Instead of letting them all exist in one very specific part of Russia where they regularly nearly go 'almost' extinct from poaching or goat plague whenever nobody is looking.
I'm game for this idea, i think big ecology projects like this are neat.
I'm all for pleistocene park too, especially if we can ressurect mammoths or mastadons.
