Accumulate grime. When my grandpa retired he went to live on the outskirts of the city in a small hut. Not off the grid but basically in the wild. He barely ever showered and the mosquitos never bothered him. Said he only washed his privates, face and armpits regularly so he doesn't stink. And he really didn't stink. Just smelled kinda like a wild animal would.

during teens and 20s i was in a country without any mosquitos
now in my 30s im back in a place with mosquitos
im on a very strict ketogenic diet (~85% calories from fat), super deep into ketosis for about 4 years now
eating none of the same foods i did as a kid
they still bite me all the same, literally no difference
they hardly bite others around me
same house, same state of undress when we're sleeping
1 or even no bites for them
i wake up wth 10-20 new ones
last week i woke up with 15 just around my left ankle
is it to do with blood type? they prefer certain blood tpes to others?
I wonder if it's a hormonal thing.
That they're especially keen on certain hormone mixes inside your blood. I wonder if there are studies in that area.

Tiger mosquitoes? They're dumb as rocks, they fly in a beeline towards you, they're slow and land as soon as possible. European mosquitoes are smart, are small and fast, they wait for you to lie down and bide their time, and thanks to their brownish colour and smaller size are way more difficult to find. Not to mention that they have fly tier reflexes
could be your breathing, those Black folk used to bite the frick out of me all the time as a kid when I used to breath out of my mouth. Then I got a bunch of polyps taken out of my nose in my 20s and now I dont get bit too often
