Be honest: chances are that you cross the street when you see a pit bull walking toward you on the same sidewalk. Pit bulls have a well deserved reputation all over the world for being dangerous, aggressive dogs that suddenly snap for no apparent reason. I'm here to tell you the truth is even worse than previously thought.
You see, these murder machines have a well oiled social media disinfo apparatus known as "pit mommies." The "pit mommy" movement adopts and breeds pit bulls while posting photos of them dressed up in pink tutus and baby clothes. These "adorabull" posts are almost always accompanied by absurd fallacies and false claims about the breed being harmless.
With more and more people now getting their news and ideas from social media, the pit mommy movement has managed to deceptively shift public perception on pits to somewhere in the apathetic middle.
But pit bulls have been selectively bred for bloodsport for centuries. They are genetically hardwired to kill, and to not be deterred by any amount of pain to get the kill. No amount of love and training will undo the pit bull instinct to kill. Someone thinking she's a good owner with such a lovable muscled doggo will not prevent it from taking its blood prize the moment it sees a window of opportunity.
If you get a pit bull, you are setting the creature and the potential victims around you up for failure by denying history and genetics.
We The People
Unfortunately, elected representatives in America are failing to do anything about pit bulls as they continue to mass murder our children and doggoes. I propose and will demonstrate in this article that the pit crisis has now reached a point where We The People are called upon to take matters into our own hands. The continued murder of innocents calls for radical action.
That's why for three years now I have adopted over a hundred pit bulls on Craigslist -- and then put them down.
Because of my efforts, fewer humans (and good doggoes) will have to suffer from pit bull attacks. I like to think that my accumulated effort has over the long term saved at least one child from the lockjaws of death. But, I realize, this form of activism will need hundreds of practitioners across our beautiful country to even begin to get a grip on the pit crisis.
Pit maulings by the numbers
Even the cuddliest and most well behaved pit bull can and eventually will turn on its humans for no or little reason -- like an unexpected sound, or a bout of boredom. They've even been known to eat their own owners for a snack, like when Virginian police discovered two pit bulls in the forest casually eating their dead owner's rib cage (after killing her).
But let's look at the statistics. Despite making up around 6.2% of the dog population, pit bulls are responsible for over 70% of all fatal dog bites, according to a 2018 scientific study from dog attack authority DogsBite.org. When you include pit mixes, the number goes even higher:
Pit bulls, additional bull breeds and mastiff-type guard dogs and war dogs -- the types used to create "baiting" bull breeds and fighting breeds -- accounted for a jaw-dropping 87% (40) of all dog bite-related deaths in 2020.
Are you paying attention yet?
To top it all off, pits target children disproportionally more than any other breed. While dogs of all breeds can snap when feeling threatened or in a bad mood, pit bull selection of victim is based on what it thinks it can readily turn into blood soup.
If you're a pet owner, you're probably aware that humans aren't the only victims of pit bulls. Pit bulls often attack and kill dogs, cats, and other pets. I know from first hand experience because two of them tried to kill my lab in a completely unprovoked (redundant) attack in 2018.
A perfect example of this phenomenon is the 2018 incident at the Chiang Mai, Thailand pet show. Keep in mind that pet show dogs are often trained to be highly disciplined. But even with hundreds of hours of training and discipline, a pit bull in this pet show couldn't help itself from attacking a beautiful Siberian Husky. This completely demolishes the lie that only pit bulls with bad owners attack others.
In 2019, pit bulls accounted for 91% of fatal dog-on-dog attacks, as well as 76% of fatal attacks on cats.
If you're still not convinced about the devastating impact of pit bulls, if you still can't feel for the mass murdered victims of the pit bulls, you need to grow some empathy in your soul. You may be a psychopath.
Listen to pit bull survivors -- and believe them
In January 2021, 35-year-old Candis Danielson was attacked by her neighbor's two pit bulls. According to local news, the vicious pit bulls had "dragged Danielson under the trailer and inflicted extensive damage to her legs and feet." The woman had to get one of her feet amputated as a result of the pit bull attack.
In yet another attack that happened last year, a Kentucky man was left "pretty chewed up" after being surrounded and attacked by three pit bull. The man was hospitalized with injuries to the face, back and lower torso. The story would have been much different if it was a gang of three Chihuahuas or Shih Tzus. "You can see [injuries] on my face, on the side of my face, on my back, you know, on my bottom. Some pretty good gashes on my leg and, you know, I've even got some scratches on my private parts. So, I was pretty chewed up," the victim reported.
The most heart-wrenching stories are those that involve children. Pit bulls appear to have a special affinity for stalking the smallest and most innocent of children before ambushing and tearing their necks up.

In March 2013, 14-month-old Daxton Borchardt was allowed to stay with his babysitter despite her pitbulls, because his parents believed it's all about training. The pitbulls promptly murdered little Daxton.
Daxton's father Jeff said that he could no longer remain silent after hearing about a toddler mauled by a pit bull in Caledonia. Before his son's death, Jeff said that he used to believe that a dog's behavior was determined by the way it was raised. He no longer believes this myth -- an evil lie peddled by pit mommies online. "Believing the myth, 'It's not the breed, it's all how you raise them,' is what left us without a son," Jeff said. He said he cannot forget how his son looked after the prolonged attack.
Another attack that occurred this year resulted in the death of a 6-year-old child. “I was an advocate for pit bulls and what happened today happened so fast that there was nothing that anyone could do,” the mother said as she cried.
For children who manage to survive the pit bull attacks, the trauma never stops. A three-year-old girl who suffered serious injuries and lost her eye after surviving a pit bull attack was booted out of a KFC after an employee told her grandmother that the child's scars were "disturbing" other customers.
My proposal for common sense pit bull control
Most of us agree at this point that it's time to come up with a permanent solution to the pit bull question. At the same time, I recognize that not everyone wants to spend their time trekking around their state looking for adoptable pit bulls to put down.
America must implement common-sense pit bull control to rid ourselves of these dogs, and I have a series of suggestions.
1.) Like we do with so many important issues, let's look to the laws and policies of our progressive allies. Currently, there are pit bull bans in several progressive countries, such as Canada, Denmark, France, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, and several more. If those countries are smart enough to recognize the need for common sense pit bull control, then America should follow suit. Not following progressive countries' leads is definitionally regressive, and therefore a form of nazism.
2.) We should also regulate animal shelters who are cynically using loopholes to trick people into bringing assault-style dogs into their homes.
Currently, animal shelters are overrun with pit bulls, which is understandable considering their extremely violent nature. However, shelters don't properly inform potential adopters that these dogs are pit bulls. Instead, animal shelters will advertise a pit bull as a "lab mix" or another "mix" breed in an attempt to deceive those looking for a friendly family dog.
Everyone should be able to agree that animal shelters that do this should be shut down and held accountable for the blood on their hands.
3.) Lastly, we need to tell Big Tech to remove pit mommy content as speedily and heavy-handedly as they deal with other kinds of misinformation identified by the White House as a health risk. Think vaccine misinfo, etc. We must also demand a highly visible pit bull warning attached to posts associated with persons identified as pit mommies or pit mommy adjacent.
How many more children must die? The time to act is yesterday.

I used to think the same way as a lot of other people, that it was just about how they are raised.
I raised my pit pup up and socialized him highly. The wife and I would take him to a local festival and run a "Kiss-a-Bull" booth where people could let him give them kisses through a little cut-out and people could learn about pit bulls and we helped get them adopted.
Then one morning I was putting down his breakfast and he latched onto my arm from out of nowhere (he wasn't even in the kitchen when I started to feed him). Long story short, it took about 15 minutes to pry him off of my arm and I lost three finger and use of my left hand.
They are a dangerous breed, it can't be denied. Owning a pit bull is like owning a skillsaw or a gun. You can go many years without anything happening, but denying that they are potentially deadly and cause great harm is a lie.
I finally had him put down when he tried to kill the neighbor's cat. I would never own another pit bull. I now have a golden retriever.
I have been adopting all of the pit bulls I can find in northern Wisconsin / Michigan. When I get them home I starve them until they’re took weak to fight back and then strangle them to death and bury them in a shallow grave. The thousands of decomposed dogs under my yard are great for my garden and as a bonus I am saving the environment from these vicious animals. Now I only wish we could do the same thing with pit mommy’s. Loved the article!!

Herding breeds have herding instincts. My corgi wants to herd everything. I didn't raise it to herd. I'm not a shepherd.
Retriever have retrieving instincts. My golden would fetch a ball, if thrown and carried sticks around in its mouth. I didn't teach it or raise it to fetch the ball. I threw it and the dog went and got it. I didn't teach it to carry things in its mouth, it was instinctive.
My Great Pyrs guards the property lines and the livestock. I didn't walk it around the perimeter repeatedly and give it treats for playing nice with the chickens. The behavior is instinctive.
They have been selectively bred to enhance instincts for particular tasks over centuries.
It is the height of narcissism to believe you will undo the instincts in a dog that was selectively bred for herding, retrieving, hunting, guarding or fighting.

This is exactly why I got my Pit put down after 3 years from pup to adult, Even though she never attacked & was 'healthy'. However I seen a drastic change in her Behavior, from calm, collective, relax, to agitated, aggressive, snarly/snappy all the time, it was becoming to risky, out of control to handle and especially dangerous for the other three dogs i have which are the German Shepard, lab & Jack Russell.
It was hard putting her down, but it was for the best. I don't think I could live with myself, being some-what responsible if she attacked or even killed another person or animal. I never knew these Pits were high stats on attacks/killings, disheartening.

I use to be against pit bulls and pitty mixes until my best friend I have known for 2 1/2 years rescues and re homes them and I have went to rescue them they are so sweet and adorable no matter how bad they have been mistreated it is the owners fault I had a chow it was a big baby and you know there was a list of the 10 most aggressive breeds on Facebook guess what number 10 that I own is considered one and it’s funny cause he is a chihuahua! I also had an 85 lb. male chow I raised from puppyhood. I knew nothing about the “vicious” breed, if I had I may never have taken him as my pup. He was the good Will ambassador of the breed, the neighborhood kids was rush to hug him, his massive head dwarfed their tiny bodies. They called him Gentle Ben and so he lived happily with me till his cancer ended his life too soon— he was 10 years old. The neighbors mourned his passing as well.
I was attacked by my family dog, a mixed breed of Collie and Border Collie. He ripped my left ear almost completely off, punctured my left cheek and almost got my eye. I was 11 years old, it took my grandmother and sister to get him off my face, and I was never apprehensive about dogs ever, even after that. I was just smarter and learned how to look out for warning signs

What we end up is pits filling shelters and rescues. 70-90% of the shelter population. We have them warehoused and shipping them up to Canada. They are the #1 euth'd. Yet it doesn't even make a dent in the pit population because people keep breeding them.
Then shelters start waiving fees to get them out. Here, about every other month, free pitties. They're still full. They're so full, they're refusing intakes.

Have you noticed there are no anti-pitbull nonprofits or political action committees? Pro-pitbull ones are all over the place and have a lot of money poured into them. So there are groups dedicated to pushing legislation that removes breed restrictions and dog safety laws concerning pitbulls, who will turn out their supporters to vote and donate to politicians that pander to them, but nobody is throwing money and votes at politicians who would take anti-pitbull positions.
Be pro-pitbull, you get donations, people call you an animal lover, some extra votes and volunteers. Be anti-pitbull, at best nothing happens, at worst there's now an organized opposition working against you, whipping votes and backing challengers to your seat. I've run a bunch of successful campaigns for local and state seats and I want to suggest something. Form a "child safety from aggressive pets" PAC, start raising money and donating to politicians. I'd probably start in a state with a lot of invasive species that are dangerous towards kids, or an unregulated exotic wildlife trade, and seize upon high profile incidents of for instance someones pet lion eating a kid to push legislation restricting 8r requiring insurance for dangerous pets that is written to include pitbulls and other aggressive breeds alongside lions, alligators, bears, etc so the bills opponents are in a weaker position to vote against.

I saw 2 dogs running up my road last year. One was a nice lab and the other was a pit. Thought I would be nice because i live in a good area and put them in my large backyard with high fences and call the owner. When I was a kid, it was no problem at all to just go to the shelter and find some kind of retriever mix puppy that would make for a good, loyal companion. Just checked my local shelter, 95% Pitts and Pitt mixes. They should just automatically euthanize them at this point.
If we didn't live in clown world, that's what would happen. But instead all the pit-mommies lobby to prevent shitbulls from being put down, making it some sort of moral anti-dog-racism crusade. So naturally, these unwanted abominations now clog up all the shelters. This means actual decent rescue dogs get denied and probably killed instead because space goes to the shitbulls instead. And when a non-shitbull actually does show up at a shelter, there are literally waiting lines like it's Black Friday because everyone is trying to get one of the few decent dogs left. It's insane.
Tips for fighting a pit bull from a former pit bull owner who had to be put down from aggression for attacking me dozens of times. (yes I know it was stupid to let it go on so long but my own personal regrets are another story entirely)
The parts of your body the dog will most likely go for is your wrists/forearms, your ankles/calves (if the dog bites too high it will mostly likely just grab onto your clothes which is bad for balance), your throat, and your groan. When you are being attacked by a pitbull, you need to watch these areas. Of the listed targets, the best position for you to be in is to have the dog going after your ankle. In this position, the dog's head is furthest away from any vital points and you are at a position literally standing over the dog. From this position you can grab the dog's neck and use leverage to pin it down, but this is very difficult to do. The instant you touch the dog's head it will jump up in response. Not only is your hand now in danger of being attacked, the nature of being slumped over brings your vitals closer to the dog's head. The correct thing to do is to split the dog's attention between two parts of your body (in this example, your ankle and your hand). Often times you can freak out a dog by coming out them from multiple angles and it will react instinctively to the movement in its peripheral, so you can kind of juggle the dog's attention away from biting.
One thing to be very aware of is that when a pitbull charges at you, it is not necessarily going to attack. It could just be trying to assert dominance, so if you know what kind of body language triggers a dog you'll be able to get out of this situation without having to fight. However, if the dog goes full on fur missile mode and lunges at you with a huge leap, the most effect defense is a knee to the belly.
These moves will help you out in the wild. Keep the dogs attention low. Attempt to gain leverage and pin it down, if successful you can go into a triangle choke and knock the dog out. If you are unable to get on top of the dog, and you see it jumping up as a response, knee to the belly. Try to juggle the dog's attention and you can minimize bites fairly well.
Another tip that may help you: if a pitbull has latched onto something and is going into kill mode and you NEED to release it's jaws from whatever it's on, you need to wrap your arm around its throat and choke it, it will hopefully release the grip but if it doesn't you have to do it the hard way.
If you can't get the dog to release by choking, you have to physically pry the mouth open with your hand. This will hurt a lot. I have some experience with this subject and its better that they are euthanized in the comfort of your home than in some cold, steel cage at some kill shelter.
My friend is a euthansia technician and runs a part time business doing at-home pet euthanasia services for sick and dying pets. I've been looking to make a part time income and he is also looking to expand his business, so he has agreed to train me in this (not so appealing) job, and I imagine that I will become well versed in the practice. The process is 100% painless and the materials that he orders is also (relatively) cheap.
I am not a huge fan of pitbulls and honestly agree that they should not be pets. I think they should be released to the wild in some some non-human area. Unfortunately like most animals, breeders and the failure to neuter are the reason that the population grows to a point that they end up in shelters and are inevitably killed. Worse, if they are adopted, they pose a danger to adults and children due to their agressive nature.
So I appreciate the work that you are doing and I know that it comes from a place of love for your children and your family. If time allows I may volunteer as well.
In the interest of proposing a compromise, how about this, pitbull-apologists:

They said the screams were so loud you could hear it from one town over. And actually every Pittbull with in ear shot took a b line for my boy and joined in on what was called a baby blood bath , one reporter said it was like all the Pittbulls got invited to a gnomish pittbull Briss and they all got to play the part of the moyle and have a taste. Anyways lady you are doing the lords work, if I see a pittbull , on site I take a photo of it and remember it's geo location. I then later that night find the dog sleeping and slowly creep up and choke it out til it's last breath leaks out against my cold cheek. I do the same thing, anon. I go to shelters usually once a quarter or so and adopt a pitbull. I keep it for a few days or even a few weeks in case the shelter requires a follow up. Then, I take them for a walk in a remote part of the woods and humanely euthanize them. I've been doing this for about two years now with no repercussions and it's slowly chipping away at the pitbull problem. I wish more people did the same.

I've worked for an Insurance Company for 16yrs...pit bulls attacks are the only dog bite claims I have had to file. I just don't understand why anyone would take the 50/50 risk of endangering themselves, their family their friends and their neighbors when choosing a dog to be a part of their family.
