nooooooo
I didn't know about him until I saw his death floating around. I'm sorry I didn't enjoy you while you were still with us, buddy. Fly high little guy
RIP
truly an angel kitty cat
Not good he was a good boy he deserved a long life
how the frick are you still forcing this shit
It's not even me doing it anymore, it's other people. Board culture now, punk.
His owner was a cruel attention prostitute for keeping him alive with so many horrific deformities
He committed suicide by force of will
Was thinking this too. What is life when a majority of it was spent in the vets office or with needles being stuck in you everywhere and probably injected with so much shit, the poor little lad.
You know, I follow several disabled animals and wonder this. On the one hand, they wouldn’t be alive without tons of money and procedures, whatever else the owners have to do to them, and have no way of showing if they’re happy. But on the other, the people who take care of them shower them with love and give them such a comfy life that it makes it seem like it’s the right thing to do?
He probably had more than your average cat invested in his care but I would imagine if the vet didn't think it was worth the resources they would have advised the owner.
I think for me personally when I witness disabled animals or even people received a disproportionate amount of care to a regular human, I can't really describe the feeling. It's like there's a ball in my chest, I simultaneously feel hopeful, happy their suffering is being mitigated and sad that their disability is something they have.
People don't realize that a lot of the care they provide in these situations can really be more about the self than the subject, and maybe they do keep them around past how long they were destined for so to speak.
If I had to guess about this cat, it was likely born to an extremely malnourished mother, cleft palates and these limb deformities in humans are often caused by malnutrition and abuse of substances, the latter of which I doubt the cat is even capable of.
Cats could easily be malnourished in the wild I suppose, but I can't avoid the vitriolic rage thinking that this cat was born in proximity to humans, many people probably witnessed it, noticed it was malnourished and needed care, and didn't or couldn't do anything about it.
I've only known about the cat off a video I watched five minutes ago and this thread, but I guess all I can say is I hope the person who got donations for the cat doesn't waste the money on vain shit or even donates it to someone who needs it.
You’ll be happy to know that the people who were taking care of Tater Tot rescue other kittens. Seems like they’ll use the money to help other Tater Tots. I think the mom probably left Tater Tot since a dog ended up finding the little guy. At least he’s at peace now and he hopefully inspired others to donate/take care of disabled animals
Its so sad when dogs are too dumb to finish their meals
I always keep akitas so they're smart enough to know to eat what they kill.
So edgy! I bet you are a cool guy 🙂
That's good.
Whenever I think about these things or come across these issues I idealize the attitude Turks apparently take towards animals.
All strays in my opinion should either be cared for or CNR'd.
>the attitude Turks apparently take towards animals
Not overly familiar with Turks
>All strays in my opinion should either be cared for or CNR'd.
I assume it's something along these lines?
I think the attitude is that everyone takes care of the cats on the street. People feed them, give them pets, etc. But they don't TNR them so they spread which is unfortunate.
