Stray kitten advice

Found a tabby kitten on our front porch, super skinny and exhausted. His tired little ass was NOT surviving the night, so we brought him in.
Just looking for general advice, more info in replies.

why do you hate birds and other small animals?

It is not hatred anon, it is indifference. Caring about the human notions of "natural" or "unnatural" environmental impact is pointless and arbitrary in its classification.

She looks sweet, but honestly you should take her to a vet at first opportunity. Just to check her over, make sure she's generally okay, as well as get her de-wormed and tested for FIV.

If hes a wee feral thing dip your finger in milk to coax him to come out and lick the finger and give him a pat while there, that's how you can gain his trust to get close enough to drown the little bastard. Also if its a female get spayed asap or you will have 5 cats to spay by the end of the year and to keep for the next 10 years

She'll be fine. Cats are extremely tough and are immune to nearly anything that isn't old age or a car tire.

    Update: It's a girl!
Was very well behaved(or still tired) on her vet trip

Doing well for her to be confident enough to let you fuss her

I saw the fish and thought you were memeing lol. Then I saw it.
Cats are simpletons and easy to trick. Try hand feeding as much as you can to force interaction and association. There’s also a soothing hormone spray you can use on toys and scratching posts and cats fall for that too. They don’t really contemplate anything like dogs do and you can just hijack them.

Back from a nap, replies made me LOL (Laugh out loud).

Update: slept in the room with him, I didn't see him move but he got up to change hiding spots and poop while I was asleep.
Friend recommended keeping a stool sample for vet as well.

lmao gottem. Thought of getting some of those cat gogurts. I've offered him food by hand, but he isnt interested in moving when I'm there.

      Based.

If he's skinny and acting tired he's probably been living outside for a while. Taking him to the vet is a good idea to make sure he doesn't have any of the assload of parasites or whatever that cats can get. Hopefully he gets a clean bill of health.

The vet can also check to see if he's microchipped, if so you can get him back to his original owner. If not than I guess you have a cat now. Got a name in mind yet?

We named our first cat Kimchi, so we were thinking Gorgonzola(because of his ANGERY eyes) for his potential sibling

Update: Sleeping outside the little house now, just behind it in the closet. Not curled up like usual but stretched out on his side, so he seems a little more comfy

For two days he's been in the bathroom with wet food and some chicken to fatten him back up, I have him in my bedroom now so he can be around me while I work.
I've pet his head, but not touched anywhere else other than bringing him into the house, not sure about gender/age either because I haven't handled him much yet.

What advice do you want? A stray kitten is still a kitten. Just feed, water him, keep him warm, etc.

I just want to make sure he's okay, he doesnt seem aggressive but just sleeps all day, is that normal? He's eating drinking and pooping, just not whenever we're observing his quantum ass.
My experience with cats has been inside/outside barn cats before I moved out to the city into a neighborhood

Cats do sleep all the time. Especially in a new environment it can be quite exhausting preocessing it all. See if you can get it looked over by a vet if you are really concerned.
