My cat had partial tumor removed from his nose. We have had him on a steroid regiment that he has responded well to. We decided chemo won’t work because he’s too old and it kills healthy cells to. He’s recovering quite well to the regiment and he gives him at least a year left to live. I think a steroid would help.

It's one of the worst decisions to make and I can get why you'd want to try something weird like that. My neighbours have a little rescue dog whose kidneys were failing and the vets were all but ready to euthanize her. The neighbours decided not to and brought her home so she could die surrounded by loved ones, in a familiar place. Spoiler alert: she didn't, recovered miraculously, and is now back to her old self. This is one once-in-a-blue-moon example, but why wouldn't you do strange things to your pet on the off-chance it might help them?

I agree do not feed your pet chlorine, but chlorine dioxide is different from chlorine. Chlorine dioxide does oxidation while chlorine does substitution. Crash course:
DON'T FEED OXIDIZING SUBSTANCES TO YOU OR YOUR ANIMALS. there is little functional difference between the damage these two chemicals do, it won't cure anything, but destroy healthy cells and deplete antioxidant capacity of your body
