I have a cat and bunnies and neither of them are as high maintenance and disgusting and unhygienic as a dog. Also the dog smells 40x stronger than 3 rabbits shitting and pissing indoors.
Does anyone have advice or should I just rehome the dog? It's really fricking gross and rubs itself against piss on every pole and wall outside and then brings all that disgusting shit into my house.
I genuinely don't understand why anyone would want a dog because a cat is a much better companion and way easier to care for.

Dogs aren't bad because you impulse bought someone's untrained and abused rat dog. However, cats are bad because you have to chose between bird slaughter followed by your cat becoming food for a superior canine and shit and piss (plus hairballs and random vomit) in your house, and rabbits are bad because they shit all over your house. Neither of those animals was ever meant to be a pet and I guarantee your home already smells like the county fair. Rabbits smell just by existing. Gross creatures that should be kept in cages and used for food and you can't even wash them off or they have a heart attack. There is no way around the stench of livestock. They're not like dogs where if you just avoid anything with mastiff ancestry it's easy to keep them odorless or good smelling.
