what kennel clubs define as an example of a breed can be miles away from what the original breed ever was, and working people define dog breeds more based on function than preserving an exceptionally unique individual found by a victorian "dog fancier" and trying to clone them via inbreeding
example: few of these are standards compliant border collies, but these would all be called border collies anyways.

The reason why Lurchers and a lot of sight hounds are healthy dogs is because they still mostly vague appearance and primarily function, so their is no real strict emphasis on ancestry or inbreeding. Can it run fast and is this big and this type coat? Cool its a whippet even though one of its grandparents was a terrier and another was a saluki.

A healthy dog is not a breed by dog fancy standards… no standard = mutt. Hence the “no true pitbull” arguments over dogs that look and act like pits (americans still breed REAL pits, they are all mutts and always have been)

Short version: Guy attempted to build the worlds tallest matchstick Eiffel Tower. Only he didn't use matchsticks because it was too much hassle cutting the heads off, so he contacted a supplier and brought plain wooden sticks that you can't buy commercially. Guinness approved it to save face.
