Hydroxyzine. Demonstrated effects against T. gondii "parasite growth" and "host cell viability" (Murata et al. 2017) -- albeit these results were in vitro. Nevertheless, considering the relative mundanity of the compound, and barring the lack of direct evidence regarding concentration-dependent-effects in vivo, it's worth considering as a first step. Hell, it (hydroxyzine) is an antihistamine prescribed occasionally for anxiety. Pretty much as innocuous as one could hope for. Even if a (substantially) lower dose (e.g. anxiolytic quantities) were to only slightly dampen tachyzoite replication rate and/or otherwise suppress/reduce bradyzoite count, if there is indeed such a benefit, individuals might find cumulative effects over the course of a prescription regime... but I am not a doctor.
Source: Identification of compounds that suppress Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoites and bradyzoites (2017). Stumbled upon it 7ish years ago before giving up and Becoming One With Our Parasitic Bretheren, "laugh out loud".
{Addendum: a cursory search suggests there is similarly potential in Sertraline [SSRI] and Resveratol [prominent dietary polyphenol, oft associated with dark-hued fruits, e.g. grapes and blueberries], though the latter was studied at artificial super-concentrations, so to speak -- "Emerging Therapeutic Targets Against Toxoplasma gondii" (2020).}
Toxoplasmosis is treatable. They have special antibiotics that can kill it. The reason it isn't used is because it has side effects and the parasite doesn't really affect us in any meaningful way for like 95% of people.
It's a weak association because it's from toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis must be acquired from wild rodents. it reproduces in the bodies of cats (and nothing else) to continue its life cycle. You can get it from eating raw meat, but only cats can shit out infectious material.
If you never let your cat out and keep a clean well sealed home, you will never get toxo, because your cat will never eat an infected wild animal.
If no one let their cats out, almost no one would get toxo. it would lose its target host and become a rare parasite that can be found in rotting carcasses and contaminated water in the woods like every other parasite.
This has absolutely nothing to do with cats themselves and everything to do with cat owners being absolutely fricking stupid, just like "cats stink" has nothing to do with the cat and everything to do with incorrect litterbox management, and "cats are aggressive, destructive, and ruin your home" has fricking nothing to do with cats and everything to do with neglectful pet owners having too few cats (you NEED two, minimum, unless they are extremely old and tired) and not giving them enough to do (you have to play with your cat and provide them with gym equipment). Ideally, every cat owner would have a catio for the litterbox and for the cat to hang out and watch stuff from. No shit/piss indoors.
everything about toxoplasmosis has a strong association to cats, you pozzed stinky litter schizo
Sure and rabies has a strong association with dogs
If you're a first worlder and behave like one you will never get it from a dog. Dogs are only dangerous to filth savages. Likewise for cats. Keep them inside and keep pests out of your home with human skills, not felines (they don't do shit), toxo problem solved.
Mark my words, the dystopia won't let you keep any pets, be they cats OR dogs, or any farm animals, let alone more exotic pets. Catgays and doggays will cheer this on to spite the other side.

Schizophrenia is a good thing, it means you are in contact with the collective unconsciousness
You're not a Malkavian
Aren't there antibiotics that can kill it? Besides it's almost completey harmless to humans except in some rare circumstances like in OP.
What the frick are you on about

Good thing I live somewhere wild rodents are pretty much nonexistent

Youre not very smart
Toxo from cats is a problem in the first world, rabies from dogs is not
And it's not a problem with cats, it's a problem with cat owners, so please spare us your womanly cat hate.
