NEED URGENT HELP

What's up Waufbros?
Basically what just happened is that my cat walked in with a baby bird in his mouth, I got it off, and the little fella is still alive, although missing a few feathers and possibly hurt
I put it inside the cat's vet cage

What do I do now? I don't know where the nest is and I've never taken care of birds before

Also, what kind of bird is it? Looks like a sparrow to me

Also, he's trembling a bit. Is he cold?

      >birds who fall from nest are imposible to be rescue
thats not true at all you fricking moron
usually fledglings are learning to fly and are supposed to be out of the nest. their parents are nearby watching them.
if its a nestling you can just put it back in the nest but this is clearly an adult or older fledgling.

    It was a carolina chickadee.
in the future if this happens call a bird rehabber.
they exist pretty much everywhere and will gladly take any native bird like this one.
you can find them on your local fish and wildlife website or just look on google.
cat saliva is toxic to birds and will kill them if they are not treated.
if you have an injured bird just put it in a dark place and do not feed it or give it water.

That's the way nature is things killing things its the way life occurs don't get pissy over a bird dying and blame it on the owner its best that cats are let outside to roam like how we need to go outside and indulge in the world stay healthy physically and mentally

humans are the ones who brought the housecat to areas that they are not native to, they are our responsibility. You are shirking your responsibility to "nature" because you are a toxo'd pussy. Imagine if burmese pythons acted more like cats and occasionally came home after you let them out, and also made some sort of noise to trick your nurturing instincts. Would you "it's just nature bro let them go REEEEEEE" when people pick them up and get them out of the american wilds like they currently do?

Ikr. When my huskies catch stuff the most i do is kill it and cook it for them so they don’t get hurt or catch something.

FYI, cats taste like super tender pork if pork ate fish.

We simply need to show these poor misguided souls the beauty of keeping a monitor lizard.
      >doesn't bark all day
      >doesn't meow in the hallway at 2 am for no reason
      >if it escapes and kills anything you definitely won't know about it— they do not hunt for fun, only food
      >doesn't need your attention like a dog would but still capable of appreciating it
      >just objectively the most beautiful creatures on this planet

OP here I have to phone post from the hospital because these posts gave me a bad anxiety attack. I am trans and this is not the Wauf sub I know and love. I don't know where you people came from but this kind of negativity is exactly what we DONT need here on this space. Please take a minute to unpack your gate and sort it out. Please, do better.

frick off, you clearly are not a regular here then, this entire board fricking hates people who let their cats outside to kill local wildlife. Stop introducing non native predators and keep your shitty animal inside.

Take him in your palm and start touching/lifting various parts of him. If he reacts badly to you touching his wings or head you should probably go to a vet.

Also about feeding him he's probably not gonna be hungry for a while. Even if you put food in his cage since he doesn't understand how to feed himself. Hold something in your fingers and hold it above him, if he opens his mouth he's probably hungry.

No, probably super scared of you and the cat
He'll either die of stress or calm down. Depends on how loud you are.

    Is he cheeping?

When he does you should consider carrying him outside, near bushes and low trees where his parents may nest. Keep an eye out for adult birds flying around
