Kabosu-chan, better known as doge, has become very sick within the past few days and it isn't looking good. Her owner has been providing updates via her owner's blog (https://kabochan.blog.jp/) and instagram (https://www.instagram.com/kabosumama/).
Please send your love to Kabosu-chan, as she might be nearing the end after a beautiful 17 years.
Damn, I hope she gets better and lives the rest of her life in peace.
anyone else get annoyed by how people pronounce doge? its "doggie" not "duoouge".
For me it has always been "doh-geh" like the Venetian Doge.
>Peter, long dead
>Ceiling cat, long dead
>Long cat, dead
>Grumpy cat, dead
>Chill cat, dead
>Doge, soon to be dead
I couldn't find any info on Graphics cat or Smug cat but I presume they're both dead based on their age and lack of life signs. Is any of the great internet animals still alive?
>Gabe the Pomeranian, long dead
not fair
>keyboard cat, long dead
Keyboard cat died before most of the users on this board were born
At least Jazz and Floppa are still alive.
>smile and optimism: gone
Wait a second, is it normal for Shiba Inus to change color pattern like that when they get older? Or someone is trying to pull a fast one?
Not Shibes in particular but I've seen this happen to many an old dog. Whiteness spreads across their face and wipes out coat patterns on its way.
>old dog is getting white in the face and especially muzzle area
it is a mystery
>very sick
Looks like it've been dead for a week.
Fuck everything about this.
Fuck dying.
Fuck bittersweet memories being the only thing left.
Fuck entropy.
I swear to all the gods past and present that life some time, some day, some eon, will conquer entropy and vanquish death. If the old foe is equilibrium, then we will be gladly cancer. We will not quietly go into the night.
it's a dog dude
attachmentgays need to burn in hell
What is Kabosu planning?
>incredibly old dog stops eating and drinking
>suddenly recovers
I've never heard of this before.
Seems pretty straight forward. A miracle happened because of all our warm wishes and prayers.
>suddenly recovers
Sometimes this means the end is near. My dog also "resurrected" for a while before dying.
17 years is alot for dogs.
If ever the worst happens, rest in peace doggo <3
Doge
>doge is dying of cancer
Oh my Fauci! If only she was vaccinated!
I still find it pretty weird and distasteful, but it's worth mentioning that just a 100-200 years ago, parts of the English speaking west was taking family portraits with dead children and relatives, although it was far more excusable back than, as it was usually the only photo they ever had of their now dead child.
I see this a lot with asian pet owners on Instagram. They just treat the stiff corpse like a stuffed animal and take tastless photos of them. It's positively fucked.
This is a fitting before and after photo
>doge is meme
>normies touch it
>doge meme dies of cringe after some years
>flash forward to now
>actual dog is near-death but looks very much dead
>people to checking to see if it's still alive before inflicting the touch of death again
F
wouldn't have my shibas without her
fuck I lost my animal recently I remember saying as long as doges alive my animal isnt too old
17 is old as fuck for a dog so I'm sure she loved a good life. Pre-emptive F.
He'll be seeing Thurston soon.
🙁
Doge is a girl
Also longcat ;_;
Sleep tight Kabosu-chan
>sees her old buddy dead with her own eyes
>decides to die a couple days later
They didn't think this through, did they?
Why do westerners have such an unhealthy relationship with death?
I'd say the people dragging the dead dog around and dressing it up for hours are the ones with an unhealthy relationship with it.
I thought it was a really nice celebration of his life. Lots of people who loved him got to pay final respects and see him for the last time.
Not much different than an open casket funeral really.
The japs have a really spiritual side to them when it comes to death, perhaps not so present in the weeb zoomer generations; but the traditional boomer side sees life and death as very similar things. Those who die are cremated, but the spirit lives on. Even the Japanese idea of ghosts is often that they're just regular people, and should be treated with kindness and support that can help them move on
There's nothing wrong with being comfortable around a dead body and participating in involving rituals that facilitate the grieving process. Most cultures do this. It's western cultures that have decided to treat dead bodies as if they're unclean and to be swept away as soon as possible, and remove themselves from the process as much as possible and in doing so desensitise themselves from the very real and natural process of death that are unhealthy.
Nothing to do with being uncomfortable around the dead. My cat died while I held him and while everyone was getting him things to be buried in I continued to hold and rub his head. I just think dragging other animals out to stare at the dead body is stupid as fuck. So is dressing them up in holiday clothes.
>thing le good if japan
Shit got me crying

Look at all these teen edgelords crawling out of their dorito bags fort
Yeah she apparently had a great life. I think she was even a shelter rescue and/or was about to get culled before they took her in. Great dog and brightened up the days of many people. I wish her the best.
Toxochadmosis increases testosterone in males, which is more than dogvirgins will ever have with their fluoride diet
Wow
If only she knew how much the world loves her. What a sad end to 2022
lol that chick wearing the christmas hat
