In general, from what can be seen here , he's slightly overweight, but in a well-fed sense, not an unhealthy sense. Make certain he doesn't gain more weight than he currently has & he should be fine.
As he gets older, thet slight bit of chub can make a huge difference in his health. cats can burn off a lot of weight very quickly due to their metabolism. When my least old girl was about 12/13, she was a little more than "a little" overweight. I played with her a lot, paid her lots of attention, and controlled her food intake. She lost a little weight & I just let her be at slightly over optimal. She was getting older and less active, so long as she didn't gain she was fine.
Fast forward to she is 17 and she gets really sick for about two months, loses stupid amounts of weight and is nearly a skeleton. That extra weight she carried at the beginning of her illness saved her life.
Afterward, she gained back a healthy weight and didn't quite get to her slightly overweight condition again. When she was 20 she started to fade fast and was gone in 6 months, just a couple months shy of her 21st birthday. If she had been as heavy as when she was 17 she might have lasted another couple months, maybe not. But, I'd give a whole lot in this world to have had her for 2 or 3 extra months. She was a sweetie and a lady all the way to the end.
Anyway, your goober's current weight is reasonably safe, so long as you don't let him get heavier. Play with him a lot, give him attention. He'll be gone soon enough, so treasure the time you have now. Don't let him stress eat as a substitute because nobody loves him anymore. Your cat appears to be about a 6 on picrel, so keep him right in that 5 to 6 zone, not above it.
Play with him a lot. Feed him quality food, not endless quantity.
He’s a big guy
if you rub his belly, will he die?
It would be extremely pleasurable
Probably could do with a slight reduction in food or more exercise.
looks american
Rent free
he looks slightly rotund
Just a lil bit.
rude.
Looks little chubby. Not life threateningly so, just go a little easier on the food and he'll be good.
He's sideways
He's fine
What a fatty
hard to tell what's fluff and whats chub
the other pics are useless
How old is he?
