Reminder that by not killing someone, you consent to their existence.

    >Complete inability to understand that a dog is different from a human
    >Did not think ahead about what owning this animal required
    >Agressive, violent answer to something they did not like
    >Little white dog
    >has a pool that the dog has access to despite it being a death trap for this breed
Boomer hands typed this post I'd bet my entire soul on it.

I have dogs and a cat, and I've got to say having a dog is so much less rewarding and way more effort. Like if the cat wants my attention and I'm busy he'll walk away and go asleep somewhere for a few hours. The dogs just pester and pester non stop. And these are trained dogs, it's just their personalities. One of them is fine and the rest are variations of bad at times. And they are disgusting too, like eating their shit and stuff even though I spend so much on their food every week.

I refuse to do their shit pick up either and my girlfriend does it since it's her fault we're stuck with them. A dog limits your life, where as cats are easy to work around. They don't end up mentally ill and eat a sofa if you go into work for a few hours. Hell I went on holiday for two weeks and when I came back the cat was just like "oh hey, you're back". And that was him on his own in the house. The dogs go fucking ballistic even after being in an expensive dog kennels with constant attention.

Problem exists at your end of the leash. You might also have bad dogs, ie: anything but a female husky/shiba.

And with cats you clean up both piss and shit, in your own home, which is contaminated by litter paws and a little vomiting demon. Even the so called self cleaning litterbox needs cleaned. Dogs can be litterbox trained but no one does it for a reason. Cats are easier but dogs have a higher cleanliness potential… and potential in general. If you want to just manipulate a dumb animal into loving you get a cat. If you make a dog a slave it might still resent you and fuck shit up in secret because the gay refuses to accept that he is property and has no rights.

End up stuck with five labradors of various ages. Eldest is 8, three of them are 4 and the youngest is 1 (and that's the good one). The shit and piss in protest at things inside I swear it.

I do have a robot cat litter box. Everything just goes into a drawer lined with a bag that I just dump in the rubbish. And I've never had a litter tracking problem. He's a ragamuffin cat so almost no hair shedding either. It's not like I'm not a dog person either, I grew up with spaniels. In particular the Welsh spaniel is my favourite. They aren't particularly dumb or smart, just good dogs. The labs are such a drain of life. The cat is accommodating at least.

some people find a perpetually smelly, dirt filled, plastic bacteria harbor in which you sift for animal excrement to be more of a burden than a feature

Dogs are not good pets for emotionally stunted manchildren. Such people are quick to anger and turn to forms of abuse. Cats are great for them, because they’re asocial and exist outside of all social orders and can just be put outside so their owner doesnt have to kill them personally.

I had a cat that would piss on furniture if he got mad about something. They are no better.

A dog owner has to live with their pet because stray dogs are obvious and generally not tolerated since they fight other dogs, and if they believe they have established territory, people. If someone turns their dog loose, they are liable for any problems they cause and it's generally considered a horrible crime to abandon a dog. It's effectively the same for society as abandoning a person so they can become a drug addicted hobo that subsists off a life of crime and shits in the park. It is difficult to learn to live with a dog because they are more intelligent, so their emotional and intellectual needs are more varied, extensive, and complex. Training a dog without abusing them is as much like reasoning out a compromise as it is conditioning. It's more like communication with conditioning naturally going on in the background, although conditioning alone works poorly since dogs are able to consciously resist or override it. This requires a level of emotional intelligence which frustratDogs are emotionally sensitive animals and do not take well to mean but "beta" owners.es and angers people lacking it, ie: psychopaths. Psychopaths and autistic people often come to hate dogs because they can resist being manipulated every step of the way.

Cat owners can kick their pets out and lie to themselves saying cats aren't actually domestic animals. Stray cats are generally ignored even when they die and some people will even call you heroic and kind if you turn your cat loose to die at 1/10th to 1/4th their natural lifespan. This makes cats better for people who want a pet, but don't actually want to deal with another lifeform that has anything resembling thoughts and opinions. Psychopaths like cats because we can relate to them and their simple minds make them easier to control.

Personally I conditioned my cat to be terrified of going outside by leaving the door open and hiding just around the corner with an air horn. He might have been scared a few times, but he doesn't blame me for it, and ultimately he's safer and happier like this.

It's not that I would be destroyed by his death. If he dies, I will get another cat, and if I die, he will help decompose my corpse and get another human. It's that I would be inconvenienced by his untimely death because I like this cat and have put a lot of work conditioning him into my ideal servant. I have at least another 10 years in him before I have to train another one.

Touchpad palm detection in Gentoo GNU/Linux broke recently so the cursor moved. This actually says
