How do I get rid of a lizard?
A lizard got into my apartment (not my pic but looks similar).
I can't catch it. I've isolated it to one room. Is there some sort of a plant or a smell that they don't like? I have a cat but it doesn't seem to be interested that much in catching the lizard.
I know it's harmless and everything but I'm a pussy and I don't like small creatures like insects or lizards.

The apartment belongs to the Gecko now.
Be grateful that it has not yet gotten you evicted.

What the fuck is the matter with you? Don't kill house lizards you dumb bastard. Not only do they eat bugs and present no harm at all to you, they're also good luck. You kill that lizard and I guarantee either your house will burn down or you'll break a bone, and youlkk have cockroaches the whole time.

As others have said, get used to them and be grateful
I found them hard the first night or two and learned to love them. Your OP pic is exactly why

They are your friend. Also they aren't attracted to carbon dioxide so they won't come down low to your head, you are safe

It's an Asian house gecko, which live on all inhabited continents and actually enjoy living inside houses.
They eat insects, make cute little chuk-chuk-chuk noises and are nice to have around.
They will live in your heater or airconditioner and behind anything you have hanging on your wall and don't afraid of anything. You just have to clean up a little bit of lizard shit sometimes.

    Just leave him alone.
If it makes you feel any better a gecko in your house brings good fortune.

They dislike the smell and taste of fire, but it needs to be a big one, arm length fire won't do.

Here's a pic of it. I didn't cut his tail off I found him like this. I've tried to lead him to the window, but he can't get through the decoration around my window and just falls down. I really don't want to kill him just want to get it out of my home.

Use a flashlight to night-blind him, then approach and pick him up

Don't be a pussy and catch it, use gloves if necessary.
I'm sure he also wants to go back outside.

Ejaculate on him. That will immobilize him, after which you will be able to get him out.

Catch it and put it outside. It has no tail, so it's extra slow. Don't worry about its bite, it can't pierce skin.
