How do I get my cat to submit to me and understand that I am the alpha and I control whether it eats or not?

How do I get my cat to submit to me and understand that I am the alpha and I control whether it eats or not? It keeps play biting me even after I've played with it for like an hour. I need it to understand my dominance over it like a dog would.

In my opinion this is not a thread worthy topic. There is a cat general for these sorts of posts.

I just want to take a moment to remind outdoor catgays that your cat is being raped by BTC (Big Tom wiener) everytime she leaves your house, maybe even right now as you're sitting here shitposting.

Imagine getting cucked by a cat lol

This is actually a fricking hilarious thought to put into a cat owners head. But on a newbiey note why shouldn't you have a cat roam outdoors? If anything wouldn't that drive a cat to be socially maladjusted? I live in a suburb and the most danger posed to a cat are urban foxes depending on the season (which I often deal with my self without the knowledge of wildlife agencies breathing down my neck, thank you /k/).

simplest answer is it's not safe and cats kill a lot of small animals, which has lead to a decline in native species. for the most part cats are pretty solitary animals so you shouldn't need to worry about them being maladjusted; if you ever plan on getting a second cat, just be sure to introduce them slowly and give them both a lot of space.

Thanks for the clarification. Both sides of the family treated cats going outdoors as a matter of fact thing so I never questioned it for the longest time.

Cats are filthy and stupid animals is why

Keeping them out of sight keeps that out of mind and leaves you free to imagine them as noble gentlemen. And leaves your house free of vomit piles and small crusty turd chunks.

Tiny population size on a "small island". I do not think that is a fair assessment of general cat behaviour unless you have something more extensive.

there is no excuse for this unless they enjoy it. its not like cats have knots.

Yeah and its not like genital misidentification is common with cats in anyway. Its uncommon and the source cited was not a fit population size to determine the entire feline population of the world to have the big gay.

      he's actually right. it works.

      gently scruff
      squish
      pet
it shuts them off because they're four times dumber than a chihuahua and this is just an infanthood instinct that never turned off. it's supposed to work when their mother picks them up, take them away, grooms them, etc.

do this shit to a dog and they'll bite you or bite someone else

Don't scruff if the cat is not adolescent. You will either injure it or it will bite you if its temperamental. The vet you linked literally advises against it with a dedicated video.

Its ok to scruff a cat if the scruff is a symbolic gesture and you support them with your other hand.
You can also use a gentle clip thing and use both hands

And yes cats genuinely submit and dogs just get resentful and incel school shootery. Thats why cats are women and dogs are men.

Can't wait to read about some moron getting bit trying to do this to a stray and dying of rabies because of what some dumb redditors posted.

Cats bite eachother on the back of the neck to attempt mating and you can find plenty of videos on israelitetube of them violently resisting it despite the nape clench. This cat is probably just in heat or moronic.

          >Noooooo dont dominate the cat! they cant know! Dogs obey because i make them and cats choose because i let them!
It’s too late, howard. Everyone knows you’re gay too.

Cats were made to be dominated and trained.

Dogs don't "understand dominance" like that either. When dogs are dominant to each other that means they viciously attack anything that encroaches upon their resources. Being submissive means being afraid, staying away, not really liking someone, and planning to kill them when they're hurt or too old. And they can only be like this with other dogs. You're not a dog. You're not a valid part of the hierarchy.

Usually a "dominated" dog is just traumatized like a battered SON, not a housewife, because women are turned on by being beaten/raped, and is so mentally broken it will cringe around its dipshit owner and bite any stranger who puts their hand too close to their head. Especially if their "master" isn't around.

This is the cause of most dog bites. A male owner has a male dog. They hit the male dog. The male dog does not understand this, because their owner is not a dog, and only dogs know how to dominate dogs properly. Their owner thinks their dog is submissive but it's actually just afraid. Submissive means willing and complacent, not afraid, but the male owner can not tell because he embodies the left side of the wider male IQ bell curve. This dog is afraid of people, therefore it bites people, but knows for sure its owner will hit it back, so it doesn't bite its owner.

Now, a cat, however, absolutely has a mind for just being inferior in status and living with it. This is because they don't have any social dynamics except for mother-kitten. Everything else is a frankenstein abomination that resulted from inbreeding african wildcats until they were too dumb to run away. Cats, unlike dogs, never develop an adult mind. They are kittens, and then horny aggressive kittens.

And it's really easy too. You pick them up by their scruff, move them to your bed, squeeze them down, and pet them. Support their weight with the other hand of course.

      >inb4 you defined submissiveness twice
      Just imagine quotation marks

Dogs are never truly submissive like we expect. "Dog submissive" means plotting to kill you in particular. I have always had male dogs. If one is dominant, the other one will attack it later.
