The average person is already corrupt and an butthole. So it is no wonder that such people currently thrive in such an environment. Even if you had a case to be mad at the people, attempting (even if it'd fail) to indiscriminately collapse an ecosystem and affect friend and foe alike shows you aren't exactly a paragon of virtue yourself. It's not even a targeted attack. And hits wildlife and people you don't even know or have any stake in your grudge.
