Future lion evolution?

Which do you think is most likely in the future?

1. Pursuit hunters (like African wild dogs)
2. Evolve saberteeth. Hunt Rhino + Elephants
3. Become more social. Primate lvl intelligence

    Assuming humans magically go extinct?
    >Revert in size back to Pleosticene African lion size and grow huge.
    >Eventually begin to drive spotted hyenas to extinction or further into a scavenger niche based off of competitive exclusion.
    >Spread back into Northern Africa and the Middle East

Hyenas are better hunters than lions and lions usually scavenge off of hyenas. If anything, hyenas are going to drive lions extinct.

No hyeBlack person ever accomplished such a feat. The only thing keeping lions in check are other lions.

        >lions usually scavenge off of hyenas
Because lions are more capable of dominating hyenas than vice-versa. Pantherines tend to be the dominant land predators wherever they occur. If they had higher visual/spatial acuity they'd be unstoppable.

Nothing will happen to them, they won't evolve ever again. They've become too dependant on humans and this dependence will only grow as their habitats shrink to include only protected natural reserves. This will forever remove any evolutionary pressure short of sudden climate change on a planetary scale.

Aren't you a little old to believe in man-made superstitions and fairy tales like evolution?

Lions are particularly similar to cats because their psychological profiles match up very well.

4: wiped out in nature due to human activity and climate change, only exist in zoos and private collections where they'll eventually become smashed n slammed toadlions due to inbreeding and lack of environmental pressure
