I am thoroughly convinced the vast majority of species on the planet are redundant or possibly don't even exist; they're just jokes that biologists came up with to frick with laymen.
Over here they population is slowly growing a hybridization doesn't seem to be a real of a problem but traffic deaths are. There are efforts made to help them safely cross roads and connect habitats.
But in scottland hybridization is big probably because the habitat there is almost gone and nothing let to connect it with. The wildcats there seem to know they have to either go housecat or die.
By spaying and neutering cats, keeping them inside and making efforts to limit the stray cat population. They aren't likely to go extinct unless they get bred out by stray cats. There are plenty of wildcats in eastern Europe.
Yeah just add cats to the wild in Europe

Why weren't they domesticated?
Too angery
Would pet & give a fibsh snack
They're already considered functionally extinct, due to rampant hybridization.

do these things snack on birds like the domesticated kind?
Probably. I know they hunt does
damn these things can take down an entire doe? it's doever doebros...
more like fawns and rabbits.
Why not let the stray cats evolve to take their place?
evolution doesn't work like that. The half breeds aren't as strong nor are they able to survive the weather a pureblood can.
>evolve
Natural selection stopped existing when humans conquered Earth.
Can't tell if you're serious. But on the off chance that you are. No, it didn't. We're actually one of the most severe selective pressures to exist.

This is the only way. There must be a call to cull ferals.
Silence, subhuman
moronic toxobrain
This and keeping their habitats intact and connected.
Birds, little mammals, reptiles, insects. But no worries they are way way way too shy to sneak up on your bird feeder.
What's the best way to euthanize a feral cat? I have a pellet gun, what's the best part of the head to shoot it in?
