I had two different cats come into my apartment before, they both came through my patio door. One was my neighbors fat-ass cat raiding the food dish, the other was a young stray tom that was some sort of ragdoll. The latter was friendly, playful and super handsome, I wish I'd have been able to find him before I moved.

Update on the cat. It's now gone. I went to vacation for two days, and now it's gone. I don't know where it went, and I don't know what happened to it. What should I do?

Ginger cats are always super easy to befriend. You literally just have to feed them like once and they'll let you give them tummy rubs.

OP here, update. There's this other cat that appears to be the friend with the cat that I'm trying to tame. It's now becoming my friend too because it started meowing at me and following me. What should I do?

what the frick is wrong with toxobrains? they see a stray cat nuisance and their first instinct is to just let it stay and lord over the place

    How to befriend a cat
    >no baby speak, smiling, whistling, or stuff that works on dogs
    >russian squat or sit on the floor
    >Look at it and slow blink, then look away
    >put out a hand for it to smell/ get comfortable with
    >send some looks at it with slow blinks every once in a while
    >tap your thigh (come over here signal)
    >If it comes closer for head pats, do not make a grabbing motion, do not go straight for the top of the head, you want to rub the side of the head, they will apply force, apply a little back
    >pat along its back and slap its ass (I am not sure how to describe it well, but they like their lower back patted with force)
    >spend a few minutes doing that, it takes it time to be more relaxed around you.

6% of dogs kill 3 times more people than all other dogs combined and even those are less dangerous than a lightning strike. those are THE ones that attack no matter how well you treat them. other common dogs will never hurt anyone unless saddled with a trainer who thinks more pain = more gain.

toxoplasmosis primarily kills infants, and kills 20 times more people per year than said 6% of dogs (pitbulls). it is caused entirely by outdoor cats. without outdoor cats, the hosts it can reproduce in are so rare it would almost never infect humans.

So what you're saying is, if you have a normal dog, you're fine?
If you have an indoor cat, you're fine?
So what's with all the moronic console wars then?

Outdoor cat people and shitbull owners are the target of infinite well deserved hate and mockery. morons get confused and think it applies to cats/dogs in general.

But we still have shitbull owners bragging about siccing their off leash mutts on other peoples pets and outdoor cat gays hoarding animals, getting worms, and spreading the good oocyst of our lord and savior toxochadmosis, so it might not be that productive to be mad at them on the internet.

Its true. Midwit nerds hate dogs. They’re the ones who define “cat person” (hates dogs, borderline worships cats, identifies dogs with athletic social attractive people, identifies cats with themselves, believes they are very smart)
