Snakes are probably the worst possible fighters of any predator. They have exactly one weapon and it's literally also the weakest most vulnerable part of their body.
This is another one of those "if it worked people would already do it." Guard dogs are guards.
Feels like a lot of other predators fall into this category. Seals, dogs, crocodiles, sharks, etc. aren’t threatening if they can’t bite you. I’d argue that a large constricting snake with a muzzle is more dangerous than a muzzled large dog. But I do agree that a guard snake is a shitty idea.

It will need to be kept very warm and that temperature will need to be properly regulated. Humidity will need to be regulated as well. If there is any kind of crack or gap in any wall your snake will escape. And it will be completely useless as a guard animal unless whoever is breaking in has an absolute pants shitting 6 year old girl tier phobia of snakes, since no snake will actively pursue someone to attack them, and any aggressive snake will be a really shitty pet. And it will probably snap your fragile little marijuana stems and harm your plants.
So basically no. You'd honestly be better off having a particularly rude and aggressive cat

OP here, every thing you said it's true but i have to disagree on this. Everybody who doesn't know jackshit about snakes is afraid of them and they usually brag alot about their size

The reticulated python in your image would probably be a poor choice as they don't eat very frequently and unless you get a super dwarf relic it'll become far too large to live in a normal greenhouse, and too large to actively hunt rats. It might be a good option as a deterrent to thieves assuming you have a massive grow of reefer, but it probably won't be aggressive enough to actually attack them, unless they try to sleep in the greenhouse. Then it might attempt to eat an intruder or yourself.
It would eat some of the rats, but most big snakes only eat like once a month. If you get a bci boa that might an alright option as they're fairly hardy and will eat as much as they can. The only problem with a bci is they grow quickly and when it's fully grown it might kill the reefer plants climbing on them. Assuming you can keep the temperature and humidity up a boa might be a good guard against rodents eating your reefer.
