Kumala is the beta male of the group and Quandale is the alpha. The other two are females.
This is probably eye-opening to people who bought into the meme that capybaras are 100% chill creatures. My man Kumala was getting fricking mauled in that security cam footage.
I dunno how long the separation thing will work out for, might have to either rehome Kumala or the aggressive one.
>24 degrees outside >praire dog gets wet >"Noooooo he's going to die he killed him" >praire dog continues to run around and yahoo >for the next 4 weeks appears on vids all healthy and normal
I doubt it was Ben's fault the little guy passed away, he was already pretty old, had a tumor and sometimes you don't really see any symptoms of a small animal getting close to death until it happens.
There was a hawk in the new episode hanging around the ranch. Im worried for him. He’s my favorite too. I miss when it was a small back yard filled with birds and Garbanzo reminds me of those times.
Remember when he said he said he'd trim Big Ounce's ugly toenails to help Big Ounce roam around more easily on the hardwood floor but then never did? I do.
You can really see that the cancer did a huge number on him. Pre and post cancer big ounce are so different that current ounce looks like a replacement. I guess he was lucky enough to survive as long. Though I also wonder if it was such a good idea to leave him in the outdoor enclosure when it's getting cold. Wasn't he out there for a whole night and got rained on too?
Sometimes I really question Ben's decisions with the animals, I think Big Ounce was kept indoors (or I hope so) at night.
To your first point you could really tell he was running ragged he seemed so scruffy and unkempt in recent videos. I think he was struggling to groom himself. Reminds me of when cats get elderly and they just start looking scruffy.
Yeah, didnt mention cause of death in the new vid too, might have been some dumb shit like forgot him in the cold or drowned in the enclosure mini pool. Wouldn't be ooc for him. Wonder who'll be the next wacky mascot, a raccon would be neat
That small creature had a happy life. He was fed, he was cared for and loved, and he was a mini celebrity, which is probably a weird thing for a prairie-critter.
Sadness for his passing is natural, grief's a b***h, but let yourself feel some happiness that he die as he lived: comfortable, and loved till the end.
Lots of shit happened. Animals have come and left. The big thing would be that he quit his job and bought a crackhouse/farm and has turned it into a safe haven for animals. And now Big Ounce (the mascot) has passed away it seems
No it isn't. The world being hell is due to direct, intentional malicious acts. Mostly to make private financial gain. This is yet another of those sayings that have been popularized to give sociopaths and scammers cover for their wickedness.
I watched this channel initially wanting to shit on it for being zoomer reddit garbage, but I have to say. He grew on me, and I think his heart is actually in the right place.
how long does Kevin have? I have a love/hate relationship with him. he doesn't seem to bother his kids, but he's an butthole to everything else, even the dogs. at the same time, i enjoy it when Ben hits him with the trashcan lid.
Rheas don't seem to be prone to kicking like other the other large ratites.
They have a decent sized spike on their wing they fight each other with for dominance instead. Not nearly as dangerous as the kicking.
Heard today, RIP.
I sorted "big ounce" on youtube by newest and got videos using the same thumbnail of different stone faced indian guys covering his death. They're clearly just capitalizing on the moment, but it's funnier to imagine it as genuine.
It was bound to happen but it still sucks to see Big Ounce be the next one to bite the dust. He really added to the vids, Feels like Garbanzo is the only thing left to really carry that joyful vibe if Patrick is just going to continue injuring itself.
i remember last year when big ounce got cancer around this time being pretty fricked, crazy to think we got another year out of him
this is a rough spot to be sure, hopefully the other animals can heal for a while before the next big thing happens
Even if he finds another prairie dog, it won't be the same. The fat bastard was truly special, it was unusually friendly to anyone and everything, it only ever came close to biting ben when he was intentionally pissing him off by stealing his food under his nose. I wonder how it was raised.
F I loved this guy
my favorite big ounce moment was when Ben came back to his house and found him just crashed in the chick cage, sleeping after he ate all their food
rhea have a super high infant mortality rate, ben actively does not name them until they're old enough to not suddenly drop dead to not get attached in the likely event that they die
Did he ever actually say what happened with Cringe and Mrs Ounce? From what I could find he had them building a burrow on the property then just never mentioned them again.
he gave them to a friend iirc
what i want to know is what happened to bingus, she was away when ben was taking care of some kittens so she didn't risk toxo but after a couple weeks he never mentioned her again
Patrick's just dumb as hell. I've had animals like this that just would not stop injuring themselves. Believe me, it's hell to go through. He's probably going to have to rehome him to some larger property.
he's a dwarf species of deer i think. i think he's a dik dik or a muntjac or something. he's a small antelope or deer

I was in a Wauf thread but somehow I got here. Who the frick is this cool rodent and why is everyone sad? I am sorry for your lost but I don't know who shit is and I can really feel bad for them because I hunted a few of them before.
>Who the frick is this cool rodent and why is everyone sad?
Big Ounce. The mascot of the Urban Rescue Ranch. His yahoos are what made him everyone's favorite.
>Who the frick is this cool rodent and why is everyone sad?
Big Ounce. The mascot of the Urban Rescue Ranch. His yahoos are what made him everyone's favorite.
It's Big Ounce the groundhog/marmot. He's been with Uncle Ben's Urban Rescue Ranch since the beginning. He had a lot of personality.
I was in a Wauf thread but somehow I got here. Who the frick is this cool rodent and why is everyone sad? I am sorry for your lost but I don't know who shit is and I can really feel bad for them because I hunted a few of them before.
As I watched her videos over the years I got the distinct impression that she was fricking or at least getting handsy with some of the foxes. Also always crying about how she needs money yet lives in a 3 story mcmansion on a massive plot of private land and spends all day playing with foxes and flying across the country to play with other foxes.
he doesn't take his more aggressive animals seriously enough, i get kevin since it's a meme that he's hyper aggressive but he also gets btfo by pretty much everything that challenges his dominance, but him being so lax with da baby is going to bite him in the ass at some point, especially if billy eyelash gets pregnant and he feels the need to protect her instead of spar
at least he seems to be taking gort getting bullied seriously, this is the second known time he's gotten fricked up by one of the other cappies before and hopefully this is the last
>hopefully this is the last
Buckle up Buttercup. As these terminally online grifter personalities get more popular they go to deeper extremes trying to generate reactions/hype/simps. Expect more maulings/fatalities.
Kevin is just naturally hyper aggressive. Only reason Ben hasn’t euthanized him is because he doesn’t attack other rheas.
Dababy is a coin flip. Once he gets bigger than Ben he will be a threat.
The ostriches are the biggest danger. Adopting 2 more was not a smart move. Probably a good thing all of them are female or else one of them would definitely kick Ben to death
i think he's said previously he thinks/hopes dababy won't get that big because a lot of bottle fed roos like him end up stunted even with good human care.
I don't want to say that he's purposely endangering them, but he is a bit too liberal and trusting of the animals. I distinctly remember him letting the Ounce run around with Kevin for a short segment. Even though Kevin was somehow scared of the Ounce it was still a risky move.
yeah this is a criticism i'd have too. granted he does spend a lot of time with his animals and knows them better than I do. but it's like putting a toddler in with a pitbull. It's fine until its not, and when it's not the situation goes from normal to life altering/life ending in the span of half a second.
He will never truly be a threat to Ben, Ben's a big motherfricker.
Like he just said in that last video, if you're a 120lb woman DaBaby is a serious threat to you.
I mean one of those claws to the neck is still potentially life ending. It's a low probability event but it's not zero and with continued repetition low probability events have a bad habit of coming up. The ostriches and dababy are probably both capable of killing him if he gets unlucky while doing something silly. But he has God's armor on him.

I'd take that any day. We have a bunch of joggers on the street and those pose an instant death syndrome risk to every human around them, and no one gives a shit.
Homelander is basically in love with him, 0 risk there. The other 2 will be fine as long as he leaves them alone and doesn't grope and massage them like he does with homelander.
he doesn't take his more aggressive animals seriously enough, i get kevin since it's a meme that he's hyper aggressive but he also gets btfo by pretty much everything that challenges his dominance, but him being so lax with da baby is going to bite him in the ass at some point, especially if billy eyelash gets pregnant and he feels the need to protect her instead of spar

Tbh that's the only way to keep an aggressive animal that size. If you go back to the earlier videos you can see how uncle Ben slowly gets more and more dejected with Kevin, cus back then he was trying to be friendly with that moronic mouth breather, only for his attempts to be met with more bites from Kevin. Taking those animals seriously usually means euthanasia for the animal. Cus no one, no matter how much you love animals, will be able to keep caring for a piece of shit that hates you. You will eventually burn out and go - "frick it, just put him down".
I don't want to say that he's purposely endangering them, but he is a bit too liberal and trusting of the animals. I distinctly remember him letting the Ounce run around with Kevin for a short segment. Even though Kevin was somehow scared of the Ounce it was still a risky move.
aww no
you could tell he really loved that little homie, rodents like that are the sweetest little frickers and they live for like 2 years its so sad
he was a trooper too after the whole cancer thing
you are grasping at straws bro
poppy was wild and he couldnt keep her at all since its illegal and he was still trying to get his permit, all rabbits hes rescued hes given to new owners, sus queen went back to the pound and kyle had to be rehomed because he was fighting kevin
im the guy you are replying to. Poppy was also old as shit at least 3 years old and they live for like 2 years so I say that she lived a good life all and all.
What I meant is we have no idea whatever happened to the last two and all the others that were given away. I know Uncle Ben is not gonna poach them or sell them away as some queer form of Joe Exotic 2.0, I was just curious to whatever the frick happened to them. I liked those two, the pigs, chestnut and the emus, etcs.
Ben did say that Biggerton was at the end of his natural lifespan, so Big Once dropping from old age is a good possibility. We'll find out what happened in his next upload.
I hope he didn't die due to negligence the way patrick broke his leg. This channel is fun and all but maybe theres a tiny bit of truth to the shit the schizotrannies have been spamming in the usual Urban Rescue threads about Uncle Ben not taking shit too seriously and putting the animals in danger. Im sure theres a middle ground to be reached for the good of all.
Ben did say that Biggerton was at the end of his natural lifespan, so Big Once dropping from old age is a good possibility. We'll find out what happened in his next upload.
>We'll find out what happened in his next upload.
Besides Baby Kevin and Nugget, does Uncle Ben have a long history of transparency when it comes to his animals dying/being hurt due to neglect or bad luck? We have no idea what happened to poppy, the rabbit, Sus Queen or Kyle. How many of the animals he gave away do you think were butchered for meat or died of neglect? Not trying to grasp at straw or trying to stir a witchhunt but the recent developments have made me curious about those other animals as well.
You're kidding, right?
Big Ounce was old as frick and a cancer survivor.
Patrick is just a moronic deer, they kill themselves all the time, its a miracle a broken leg is the worst of his problems.
Literally all of his animals would be dead if it weren't for him.
Patrick has a history of fricking himself up during a panic. A shame it was his leg this time instead of another gash on his head like the other times.
Snek definitely died from neglect. A snake that injured should be kept in a cage instead of free ranging in a barn. Obviously the snake’s chances of survival was already low, but Ben should have handled it better
I don't really think it's negligence. Remember he's taking care of literal mental 3-years old kids who tend to hurt themselves in the most ridiculous ways. Considering how much he's been taking care of babyproofing his sanctuary, I'd say he's went beyond the regular stuff a caretaker would do.
If I had to say anything against him, would be that episode with zoomer yewtoober who burned ferrari. No reason for Ben to collaborate with people who destroy nice things just for the sake of destroying.
Some stuff that happened on camera was questionable, but I don't think animals were in any danger. Just stuff that rise your eyebrows.
Overall he seems like he's a good guy.
It was pure stupidity because they'd encountered the same thing a year before in a different vehicle and didn't learn what happens with dry grass clogging a wheel well.
Your thread will live
unlike Big ounce
Why.
It's Up.

Goodnight sweet prince.
Place your bets, will Homelander, Kumala or Garbanzo become Bens new emotional support animal/sidekick?
Doubt, it will be probably a new prairie dog, must fit in a pocket to bring him on adventures.

look of pure evil
He has so much disdain and hate in his eyes.

Ben just confirmed he died of old age
Looks like DaBaby finally did it.
😀
Looks like Ben got hit pretty hard by it, no new episodes.
So is he really buried under the tree or is a symbolic thing?
Was he fed to Patrick after he died?
you gays are planning to steal his corpse, arent you?
You would if dababy wasn't guarding it
He mentioned that unless an animal died of some disease he feeds the corpses to other animals.
There is no corpse left to steal
Big Ounce he buried under the tree, Ben says the tree is absorbing his nutrients.

did that fat bear guy ever get injured by his kodiak?

You can really see that the cancer did a huge number on him. Pre and post cancer big ounce are so different that current ounce looks like a replacement. let's be real it probably died of a heart attack he was obese

Are you mentally ill?
Explain.
Saveafox was a fox rescuer who was caught doing questionable things, like selling foxes and not having permits.
and being a cringe BPD moron
Woman always gave me that ick vibe. I swear I've dealt with enough of these prostitutes irl I've developed a sixth sense for it.

He seperated that one weak cappy, and the moron still got bullied through the fence.
The funniest thing is that Gort is getting bullied by a bunch of female cappies. Don't think he's going to get to mate anytime soon.

you could tell he really loved that little homie, rodents like that are the sweetest little frickers and they live for like 2 years its so sad
he was a trooper too after the whole cancer thing
prairie dogs live much longer than that
Prairie dogs actually do live pretty long, surely Biggerton wasn't nearly 10 years old?
Maybe his cancer had come back internally or something.
the fat frick probably died of diabetes
F to a real homie
I'm not crying..your're crying..
Good night little buddy
How old was the ouncerton anyway? Last time we saw him he was still relatively lively
you are grasping at straws bro
poppy was wild and he couldnt keep her at all since its illegal and he was still trying to get his permit, all rabbits hes rescued hes given to new owners, sus queen went back to the pound and kyle had to be rehomed because he was fighting kevin
im the guy you are replying to.
I miss Donald Trump and Obama too! As well as the moskovie ducks.
I vaugely remember seeing them in a video a few weeks ago from that new place they're at apparantly
Oh the emus are rehomed, pigs got send off to a ranch. Not sure bou chestnut tho
Poor guy didn't even get a chance to mate. Uncle Ben was too slow on the draw when it came to finding BO a wife.
Didn’t he get castrated by mrs. Ounce?
Not to my knowledge, plus Uncle Ben was talking about finding a mate for BO since the little dog was nearing the end of his natural lifespan.
He got into a fight with another male in the same enclosure as him and the female. It was the other male that castrated him.
Yes. The other male was called mrs. Ounce because Ben mistook him for a female. The female was called Cringe
He must have been so old.
I mean that's assuming he died from old age. Maybe Kevin ate him or something like that
Ben did say that Biggerton was at the end of his natural lifespan, so Big Once dropping from old age is a good possibility.
I hope Uncle Ben doesn't have a dark side.
Obviously the snake’s chances of survival was already low, but Ben should have handled it better
there are some questionable things he does with animals, but I would say its out of ignorance rather than spite
qrd
Rest in peace, Biggerton Ouncerton
>episode with zoomer yewtoober who burned ferrari.
That was an accident
according to mainstream media
It was pure stupidity because they'd encountered the same thing a year before in a different vehicle and didn't learn what happens with dry grass clogging a wheel well.
Makes him sound like an RPG boss.
it's over
Not like this bro's 🙁 why do rats only live for a couple of years while dumb ass reptiles can easily go for over a decade?
