I have noticed that some breeds and species of pets have the absolute worst owners/communities surrounding them. You have the "people" with Huskies who they consider to be their wife, you have tattooed homosexuals overfeeding their Retics into an early grave and of course you have the toadlines and spider bps of the world.
What I'm wondering is if other animals have notoriously bad people associated with them? Are there any cats that suffer from large communities of animal abusers? What about birds?
I’d argue that outdoor cat owners are bad owners. More passively bad than actively bad like the husky or reticulated python owners you mentioned, but still willfully and even happily negligent.

Here in Aus huskies seem to be the go-to dog for a particular class of Indians and other South Asians who want a dog as a status symbol or to show they've properly integrated or some shit.
Not surprising since they are probably the best looking breed but the owners take no account of their energy levels and the dogs end up sitting in the backyard 24/7 until they get abandoned or put down for digging, barking or chewing.

Most husky owners I know are very good, they work from home or have a stay at home spouse so their dog stays happy

not sure if it's what you're asking but munchkin cats are bred to have smaller legs which impairs their ability to run and jump. it's sad to watch them stumble around but people still get them because they find it cute.
I'm more looking for animals that tend to attract bad owners. The animal doesn't need to be deficient or anything. There's not really anything wrong with Huskies after all.
