Ironically, over time I feel like these two countries are not the best of the first world (alongside the uk), but the US is very state dependent for that statement, living in Cleveland, Utah or Detroit ain't the same as the rest, but they all have stunning nature for sure and It gives a sense of freedom, you can own your own land too, sadly a lot of terrain is lost and fast to people made degradations and shit projects
