Prehistorically, cats became top predators in every ecosystem they entered.
Obviously, feliformes aren't dominant enough to wipe out the caniformes, that's why caniformes still exist. But barring humans, whose impact on the ecosystem favour allrounders over specialists, cats win by points.

Caniforms. I like dogs so i claim to be an honorary wolf brother and shoot all your gay autistic meerkats.

I also cast infinite cursed magic missile of darkness so anyone who claims to side with cats after this is instantly exploded forever in the shadow realm

Dont tigers prey on brown bears quite often? I think reports say like 2,5% of siberian tiger kills are bears
    >I have been studying tiger food habits for the past 14 years and have found several bears killed and eaten by tigers. Some tigers specialize in eating bears and they will kill both Asiatic black bears and LARGER Brown bears. We radio-collared one male tiger who ate bears all summer and lost weight in the winter presumably because he couldn't find his favourite food. Recently, people have been killing bears because of an increased demand for bear feet and gall bladders, and I worry that this will effect tigers as well because bears are an important food source for tigers in summer.

Some tigers individually can take like 6 bears on a lifetime if not a dozen

The reverse is much less common if at all, some reports basically do not register bear on tiger kills, but bears are known to "steal" carcasses tigers hunted

As far as I’m aware brown bears don’t really hunt tigers at all, or even smaller predators like mountain lions or wolves aside from cubs. The majority of their diet is plants so there’s much less incentive to risk fighting or eliminate competition

    >smaller units
Caniformes would mog just by mustelids alone.
    >middleweight units
Feliformes hands down. Middleweight felis such as the smaller big cats like cheetahs, leopards and smaller lion sub-pops are too powerful against even the biggest wolves.
    >heavy units
Caniformes mog again. The biggest feli unit (Siberian tiger) would not stand a chance against the biggest cani unit (fricking polar bear).
    >AQUATIC UNITS
    Caniformes by default
Unfortunately a crushing defeat for the feliformes.

Cats are all about micro-intensive versatile units.
Dogs are low-quality unit spam early game but later on gets some super expensive heavy hiters.

Feliforms have a lot of heavy hitters amongst their big cats, but caniforms have MUCH more unit diversity, and are generally more geared towards open combat, as opposed to the feliforms assassination tactics.

Big cats are OP but there’s also not a lot of them. Caniforms have bears + numbers

This. Honey badgers alone are going to pose issues for even the biggest of the feliforms, imagine having to deal with them and grizzlies at the same time. Not looking good for them

tigers are ambush hunters. Bears are more into scavenging. A tiger would jump to the bear neck and off him before the bear has any chance to do shit

              ?si=wlMlhywswo437r1R

The tiger is probably at a disadvantage in a head on fight, especially with a bear much bigger than it
