It doesn't really matter in a eusocial structure.
If you die but your sting contributed to the better good of the hive, then it was not in vain, the queen is already laying your replacement

Here's a few basic things that got drilled into me at bee school
      >don't use scented soap or fragrances before handling hives
      >triple check your bee suit zippers
      >pay attention to the landing board activities before opening a hive
      >don't stand infront of the hive
      >always have smoke
      >if possible, try slightly lifting the hive from behind to see how heavy it is. Heavier hives are better, very light hives are probably sick or dying
      >when you remove the roof or a frame, make sure the queen isn't there. If the queen falls on the ground outside the hive she's doomed
      >look into queen marking
      >can't find the queen? Look for her posture (egglaying)
      >always put frames in the order they where before
      >NEVER LET THE HIVE TOOL LEAVE YOUR HAND

Also bees love robbing one another, so whenever you are harvesting honey, try avoiding dropping any honey in or around the hive, even one drop of honey can start a robbery, have a bucket with water and a clean rag to clean away any honey droplets that come off honey frames

I don't hate honeybees, but their society is as totalitarian as the Kim Jongs. Everyone other than the queen is to serve the leader until they drop dead, whether by exhaustion and old age, which is the normal way, or by suicide stinging if necessary.

Compare this with paper wasps, where a worker may feel enterprising enough to go off and take over ownership of another nest if they got what it takes, or even switch on their reproductive systems, turn into a queen, and try to start a new nest.

    honeybees = north korea, china
paper wasps = libertarian western countries

      You don't understand.
The queen is also under this system.
She's not some kind of ruler. If she stops producing, or gets old, or acts funny, the bees will kill her and make another.

Oh yeah, I have read about paper wasps doing that. Also, paper wasps seem very calm. I had them living in a space behind/over my roof window and they seemed very quite and non aggressive. I think they are here this year too.

. It's more like a typical medieval monarchy.

The queen is the colony's ovaries and has exactly zero say in how the place is ran.
Bee hives are actually 'Democratically' organised, in that workers communicate and make decisions (relocating the nest, where to collect nectar, whether to kill and replace a lazy queen or not, how much to feed the larva to make them stupider or smarter or future ovaries) by trying to convince other workers what's the best course of action. Once a majority has been achieved, that course is taken.
Queens are arguably the least powerful individuals in the colony. Breed or die, like an Afghan woman.

The individual may die, but your genes live on in your sisters. Sister bees are 75% related to each other (compared to 50% for mammals). This is because bees inherit 100% of their father's genes and 50% of their mother's.

Think of evolution at the level of the gene rather than at the level of an individual. Even if an individual bee dies defending a hive, the hive has a higher chance of surviving. The dead bee's genes live on through the swarm.

For social insects, natural selection acts at the “hive level” instead of the individual level. That bee that just stung you couldn’t even reproduce, but it helped protect the queen and drones that can.

Mostly the honey they collected to survive winter. Queens can flee and as long as eggs remain workers can create new queens.

It meant that bees are a collective organism, and that the individuals are ultimately disposable.
Though, I do note, the queen bee has a smooth and unbarbed stinger, though she doesn't sting like, ever.

Queens only use their stingers on other queens, I've never ever hear about queen stings.

When the organ comes out it reveals a scent that tells the others to attack.
It's meant to make the colony survive. Or in other words, the queens genetics.

    Only happens with mammal skin
They can sting indefinitely against other insects
    >mean by this
More painful and longer lasting stings, population control
Large, overpopulated hives tend to be more aggressive since they can spare some individuals to fend off possible threats

It seems like god made bees submissive to mammals for the purpose of harvesting their mouth water saliva juice.

But bees specifically hate mammalian movements, mammalian smells, and are pre-programmed to sting for the eyes on mammals.

It isn't supposed to get stuck, and it's not a mammal thing.
It gets stuck in human skin specifically because we have thick skin (we got no fur so that's how we cope)
If you chill for a second the bee will pull itself out and flee
