Would you be willing to admit, in full or in part, that domestication is a lost science, and that humans cannot achieve it in the modern era?

We do it to plants also. It only takes time. Incidentally the commies put really dumb people in charge of agriculture. They thought that if you cut all the leafs off of a plant the next generation would remember not to grow leafs or that if you kept planting crops further away they would learn to grow in different climates.

Domestication predated the scientific method by thousands years, so it was never a science.
All domesticable animals have already been domesticated, from dogs and cats to horses and camels and cattle and sheep and pigs and goats and chickens and ducks and buffalo and even falcons and (with extreme, ongoing cruelty) elephants.
What other animals do you think should or even could be domesticated? And for what purpose?
