Why pic related is so boring and uninteresting compared to "Walking with Dinosaurs" or "When Dinosaurs Roamed America"? I just can't get into it and i hate how most of the dinosaurs and marine/flying reptiles are portrayed.

Cgi and photography were amazing, but the narrative seems to just use scenes of modern animals in documentaries and copy paste the dinosaurs into them. It's stuff we've all seen before in modern documentaries - wolf chasing deer in snow, bizarre mating dances etc. And the scenes linger too long to pad out the episode length.
>The JOOOOOOS want you to think dinosaurs were warm blooded!!!
seriously, why don't mods ban these idiots back to 4chan? Is it just one autist? He sounds like the paleoschizo that's in every thread
>He sounds like the paleoschizo that's in every thread
that's him going for his 356th racism ban
It seems unfair to call him paleoschizo
the dumbass doesn't know anything about paleontology.
Why don't you fuck off back to that pedo pit reddit where you belong?
>NOOO YOU CAN'T JUST DEBOONK MY PRECIOUS FAKE SOURCE!!!
It's your only source
I read papers.
no you don't.
I've seen you cite material from (1) paper in the last 10 years that wasn't found in the title or first sentence of the abstract.
and even then you got it wrong.
I assume you didn't read the paper, you just found someone on reddit complaining about the paper and copied their complaint here.
it lacked a sense of wonder. I really liked the sauropod dueling though that was cool
Because the concept and narrative were taken directly from Planet Earth and other BBC documentaries. And by "taken" I don't mean inspired by, I mean TAKEN. Almost every single vignette is based on one from Planet Earth, down to the goddamn editing. And narrative wasn't Planet's Earth strong point. So, apart from the accurate designs and the realistic CGI, which are enjoyable to look at, it is nothing but an incredibly lazy attempt at TV-making.
Because you're a mongoloid that is blinded by nostalgia and has no knowledge on how dinosaurs actually acted
WWD had shit animation, but at least it actually made an effort.
WWD had amazing animation, but it's 25 years old now and shows its age
Because PP was made by stupid featherfags exercising their cartoon dinosaur fetish, while WWD was an attempt to make a good Dinosaur documentary.
>Why pic related is so boring and uninteresting
Not enough feathers
Music wasn’t as memorable.
Dinosaur calls weren’t memorable or iconic.
We don’t follow any individual creatures for a life cycle or have any narrative to make the dinosaurs feel grounded.
In my opinion, the filmography was too “bombastic “ with drone style footage and shots that are too perfect for me to feel like it’s actually captured footage from a camera man, which makes it feel way less real to me.
The animations and movement of the dinosaurs didn’t feel as realistic as WWD, it falls into the “over animated” bracket to me. Movements are too smooth and wiggly. I think the most realistic looking and best animated creature in the show was the Bezelbufo frog.
I also wasn’t a fan of the narration. the voice acting was fine, but the words didn’t really explain much or go into many details.
WWD assumed its audience was intelligent, PP assumes you're a child
PP assumes you're reddit. Unfortunately, for a large swath of the population, PP was right.
Actually, a lot of it was sort of bizarre even for the time.
>this fucking retard doesn't know about the wikipedos
Its the format that makes Prehistoric Planet inferior for me. WWD had a narrative format focusing on one individual as it went about its day. Throughout the episode, we are introduced to other species by the individual's interactions with it. Prehistoric Planet is too disjointed. It just jumps from one animal to another.
It's Planet Earth with cgi dinosaurs. There's no compelling narrative or worldbuilding, just a clip show.
You were a kid then and now you're an adult?
Doesn't change the fact that it is an overrated documentary, it isn't as epic and cinematographic as WWD. Dinosaurs aren't cool extinct beasts anymore, now they need to looks bad and behave exactly the opposite as they used to in older medias. I don't want to see a large theropod doing a bird-like mating dance, it isn't scientifically accurate anyway, just pure speculation.
You're upset they're portraying animals like animals?
Dinosaurs were reptiles, like lizard's and snakes
Birds are reptiles too.
They are warmblooded and don't have scales and lay hard eggs.... Not Reptiles
retard alert
>They are warmblooded
So were dinosaurs
>don't have scales
Yes they do
>lay hard eggs
So do crocodiles and dinosaurs
Barinasuchus laid hard eggs and was also warmblooded. Does that not make it a reptile?
Either birds are reptiles or crocodiles are birds.
Which one is it buddy?
You could have stopped at warm-blooded.
>So were dinosaurs
Nope. Not unless Leatherback Sea Turtles are also.
>and was also warmblooded
The hell is wrong with you pop sci paleoretards just claiming random wrong shit and never backing down?
No.
https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.1253143
Why use science.org in 2014 when they agree with cnn.com in 2022?
https://www.science.org/content/article/were-dinosaurs-warm-blooded-new-study-says-yes
You're just wrong because the dinosaur renaissance was wrong. You're just an NPC so you lack any ability to discern truth from falsehood. Dinosaurs are reptiles, not mammal-like birds. And they're never going to stop being, regardless of how much you want them to be something else.
https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms9296
https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.aax9361
Birds are reptiles.
Also, lol
>Inferred ancestral states reveal that the metabolic rates consistent with endothermy evolved independently in mammals and plesiosaurs, and are ancestral to ornithodirans, with increasing rates along the avian lineage.
>High metabolic rates were acquired in pterosaurs, ornithischians, sauropods and theropods well before the advent of energetically costly adaptations, such as flight in birds.
>Giant sauropods and theropods were not gigantothermic but true endotherms.
Click the second link in
I can't post the actual nature.com link cause Wauf thinks its a social security number or something.
No. Birds are birds. Reptiles aren't warm-blooded.
>infer
I'm gonna stop you right there. There is something that modern soientismists need to get through their fucking heads: inference is not science. NOPE. You can bitch and whine all you want, but guessing shit isn't science. That's not how the scientific method works. Never has been. Never gonna be. If you use inference you are not doing science.
>"scientific method" on wikipedia
>CTRL F "infer"
>18 results
>all saying inference is part of the scientific method
You spend so much time lying it's hard to tell if you're a clown character or not.
No. You lose. That's not science. And wikipedo is literally run by pedophile garden gnomes. This has been known for 20 years.

>citing encyclopedia dramatica
Do you ever get tired of losing these threads?
>Agree with CNN in current year
Dinos are more closely related to birds and crocs than lizards and snakes.
Birds aren't reptiles though and most dinosaurs have about as much in common with them as a capybara.
Birds aren't reptiles just like how platypuses aren't mammals
Except platypuses are mammals and birds are birds.
>Except platypuses are mammals and birds are dinosaurs
ftfy
Uh, sorry, I don't talk to fish. Go glub glub in the ocean with your kind.
>Birds aren't reptiles though and most dinosaurs have about as much in common with them as a capybara.
stupid creationist
>it isn't scientifically accurate anyway
A scientifically accurate dinosaur is a fucking skeleton you dumbass.
>A scientifically accurate dinosaur is a fucking skeleton you dumbass.
or a 4 piece with biscuit
Awwwwwwwwww too bad you'll never be able to go back in time like me :*~~)
Anon didn't think scientifically accurate Velociraptors using their feathers to break their fall as they literally jump off cliffs to hunt was epic?
Yeah ok buddy.
PP isn't a documentary at all. It's a shitty Pixar cartoon.
Pic related.
Did any of you watch Planet Earth or Blue Planet?
Do you guys even like animals?
Oh I watched the piece of shit, just like I watched Lawd dem rangs. For the trainwreck factor. Sauropods don't have cankles. I'm sorry you're retarded.
loved your mom, babe.
