What? Cats raised with dogs will act like dogs all the time, there's a famous video of a cat barking (until it notices its human is observing it)

My parents have a cat that wags it's tail almost non-stop. Normally that's a threatening sign for cats, but he's a pretty oblivious guy and is pretty happy most of the time. We've sorta determined he's just moronic, but I wonder if he maybe grew up with dogs when he was a kitten.
Either way, it freaks the other cats out.

you added like 100 million to the floor for dogs

some dogs are genuinely moronic, not like lesser animal moronic where they still make do and might actually do a better job, but like extra chromosome, bad at being itself moronic

I don't have a cat so no. And it's not like neuron count matters when your pet is a turd-munching neurotic mess

Neuron count is the thing that matters the most. Case and point: humans have the largest neuron count of all animals, and thus we are the smartest ones.

Cats eat poop too. Sorry you had to find this out. They just prefer it wrapped in the guts. The excreted stuff is too hard to lap up and doesn’t have enough blood in it.

That's exactly the thing people already mentioned ITT. Once that cat is an adult it will stop doing that dog behavior and get really boring, 100% in line with normal cat behavior. Literally no fricking exceptions - ever.

My sister's cat likes to play fetch, she is 8 years old and didn't even grow up with dogs. I guess it's just her personality.

Eh my cat grew up with dogs for the first 2 years before we adopted him. When I got him he knew how to sit on command like the dogs did in order to get a treat like they did. Over the next few years I taught him various tricks all of which he retained until he died of old age 2 years ago

cats show dog behavior like fetching sticks and barking unprompted. unlike humans and dogs they can not be controlled.

      Only like for one year.
After that some switch in their head flips over and they become boring and not caring.
