Why does no one care about this shit?

Why does no one care about this shit?
In PA, and the government is pretty much saying "you must kill these frickers on sight and with extreme prejudice"

They weren't around in April-June, but now I just killed 20 hanging around a tree in my own backyard.
Went to a restaurant a couple of weeks ago and sat at a back patio with a large number of other people. There were lanternflies visible everywhere and no one was jumping out of their seat to squash these frickers.
Now, because of fat lazy american mentality, these frickers are everywhere in my backyard.

And where did they come from? China of course. Frick China.

It's obviously the American government pushing this meme of "le deadly Chinese butterflies eating all muh grapes" to get the public used to the idea of having and killing Chinese people. That way they can push a nuclear war against them within 10 years without the public questioning it.

This, quite literally, isn't my problem. I am not responsible for your farm's success. It's your job as an industry to fix the problem without resulting in the mindless mass murder of wildlife outside of your property....and if you poison our food with dangerous pesticides, I will sue you anyways
      >b-but it's too hard!
Then get a real job, Jedidiah. You're not cut out for this one.
      >b-but they are le invasive species!
There's no such thing. There is not some arbitrary boundary where animals can and can't live on a map. Not to mention, there are other invasive species around you just pick on lanternflies because they don't run as much, aren't poisonous, or have sharp teeth. If this was a snake issue or something, the Reddit soimobs would've stayed home and just demanded for daddy government to save them. You're weak and you're a bully and you're unacceptable in my eyes. Give one good explanation on how this is not animal cruelty. I'll wait.

One of these days I'm just going to choke out someone 3 seconds away from squashing one of my bugbros. There won't be a warning. Just a slasherque execution. Maybe then y'all will learn.

I killed a lanternfly after I read this. I'm going out of my way to kill them now. And there's not a damn thing you or your funko pop collection can do about it.
I used raid to do it too. Also I'm going to use pesticide on my vegetable garden next year for no other reason than to spite you.

A big part of the problem is Trees of Heaven popping up everywhere. Seems like someone is spreading the seeds deliberately. I saw a big grove of new ones on a highway boulevard. where no other plants were growing.

It probably has more to do with transportation patterns than deliberate malice. Also because, as you stated, generally they do well along the highways because not a lot of other trees are growing beside them.
It really makes me wonder why there isn't an initiative to go cut down all the fricking Trees of Heaven.

There is no purposeful planting of seeds. Even if you were hellbent on destroying the American ecosystem it wouldn't be worth the effort because they spread themselves just fine. They manage very well in polluted and acidic soil, especially when the land they occupy is facing constant disturbance. They travel by human highways. The seeds disperse in the wind, hitch rides on cars, then get dropped for miles and miles. They also clone themselves readily. You can cut one tree down and the next year it will come back with new leaders and clones all around. Come back the next year and there's even more, like a hydra. Even with herbicide treatment you need to repeatedly follow up for multiple years with large trees. By time they've killed one tree 1000 more sprout up. Each of those saplings can grow 10+ feet a year. They also poison the ground with chemicals to kill competing plants. It would be silly to spread seeds by hand.
