They chill with muskrats in their cozy little home. It gets so warm in there you can see steam coming out the top while it's buried in snow. I just wanna be a beaver bros.
i dont understand why europeans and americans are so obsessed with capibaras. We have the best, the coolest, the cutest mammal in the world at home. Stop with this capibara nonsense and start the beaver propaganda
As a europoor kid I thought beavers were a exclusively American animal and I was blown away when I learned they also live here. They were still pretty rare when I was little.
They just started eating bark and stacking sticks near their hidey holes eventually they did it by water and started to live under the stick piles, so they started to hate the sound of moving water because it was getting in their houses and then they went and did it everywhere.

Same here.
Beavers were almost completely eradicated from my country because they get in the way of industrial agriculture.
Do beavers see running water and just think no way? What is their reasoning for making a dam?
They like to be cozy
>They like to be cozy
It does look cozy.
Very illuminating picture, I didn't know they were so complex. It seems like it'd suck to build though
It's a shelter to protect them from predators. They build it in water for easy access.

Very good point anon. I think I'm going to go eat some bark myself.
How could I be so blind and not see? It's oblivious.
Beaveranon? Is that you?
