A general rule of thumb (of mine) is that Man can best any animal that isn't a natural wrestler. Should the animal be considerably heavier, like a bull, then tactics will enable Man to win. If you put a man and a bull together in a small enclosure then the bull will win. If you raise the man to wrestle cattle as a boy, then put him and the bull in an open field with no time clock, the man will eventually win either by digging a ditch and running the bull into it, or by making a few spears.
But a 1V1with any animal of similar weigh that doesn't naturally wrestle, the Man will win

Imagine, we could domesticate them and use them for fishing. And probably a lot more than fishing...

most animals would beat humans outside of dogs if human knew how to fight.

My bet is on the creature, unless it's just morbidly obese or smth. Most animals tend to be pound for pound far stronger than humans.

No, not really, humans are pretty darn strong. The difference is that most humans today would flee and not fight back. If they do fight back, it is when it is already too late, and only in a desperate flailing way.
There is no 150lb animal a 150lb human cannot
      >choke out
      >slam
      >stomp
to death. That is only under the assumption that the man is fighting to kill its opponent and is willing to get injured to do so. I will also assume that the man gets to keep such a cool head and has the knowledge on how to kill its opponent.

        What about a 150lb centipede?

Just stomp it to death, a 150lb centipede would soon choke to death due to an inability to breathe.

150lbs wouldn't be large enough to get that issue for arthropods.

          Calm down Joe Rogan.
Chimps are not stronger than a human, a 150lb chimp would have stronger arms, but weaker legs and back. A fit and calm 150lb man would easily choke a 150lb ape out.

The main weapon of a chimp isn't their strength, but their speed and savagery. They're strong, but a man of 150 lbs has a far better chance against say, an orangutan of the same weight

*Throttles the life out of chimp while his smaller arms and tiny legs flail about helplessly*
If a man gets his hands around a chimps neck, or manages to take it's back and choke it out that way, the chimp is done for. Not to mention most animals haven't evolved to take blunt-force trauma to the face unlike (European) humans. Our face is shaped specifically to deal with getting punched really hard in the face. A chimp would get rocked by a clean overhand right

We're fricking dead, a giant raptor with claws that can rip open small cars diving your lanky ass at 200mph is the most frightening scale-up I can imagine.

These ones hunted 500lb prey and they are only estimated to have been 30lb or so. Maybe one that big would be unable to fly or something. But then it would basically be a dinosaur I guess. The raptors on jurassic park are based on Deinonychus and was about that size..

Man must be given a rock or a sharp stick in these fights. Men evolved to use these things, they're a major part of our success and natural life. Saying "no weapons" is like saying "the grizzly cant use his claws"

The grizzly has no teeth, no claws, and osteoporosis. The human has no opposable thumbs.

Depends on the level of moronation and fitness.
Grappling, choking and reach can be quite powerful. Animals rely on their natural strength and toughness while we have all other resources available. Depending on the environment, the human likely wins. He's gonna have more issues in an open field but if the hummie sees something he can use and intimidate the creature, he can ''win'' without even starting the fight.
If someone gets fricked up by an animal it's because they're scared pussies and don't know what the frick to do.
