You mean normal people? As a kid I didn't understand why my neighbors shot cats on sight but now as an adult I totally get it.
I mean the best that I can tell it's people who're really upset about feral cats/outside cats hurting wild animals and extirpating/making them go extinct. Also plenty of it is probably just trolling/jokes.

so what is the better solution? Because once the invasive specie kills off it food source permanently, it too will die off. You will basically end up with nothing. You need to grow a pair and do the needful sometimes. Nature is cruel and beautiful at the same time.

Cats are a unique case because people are actively feeding 'n breeding them in large quantities. The issue can largely be fixed by not having cats.
