What’s the most “humane” way to deal with mice in my walls that are pissing me off and keeping me from getting a good nights sleep?
I have very little empathy for them so I wouldn’t feel bad about glue traps.

Mice and rats are serious pests and cause untold amounts of damage to human settlement.
Don't listen to any "humane", "catch and release" business. Do it in the most effective way possible that doesn't hurt YOUR bottom-line.
Depending on your rat numbers, something from a few traps to a professional job may be necessary.
The source may be outside your home too, just outside my old house was a small empty lot (just sand) and people would dump their tree clippings in.
Those quickly turned into rat dens, while we'd been fighting rats in our house we missed where they were coming from!
We got the Municipality and they removed that whole pile of rubbel and within a few weeks the neighborhood was rat free
I use the good ol snap traps. Check them each day and rebait every other week.
I put out a kill trap because they just get'em over the neck, pow, instant death.
But then I looked at the nest cam. It is very much not instant. I threw the trap out after that.
Sarin
Get snakes in your wall
Since all the helpful ideas are taken, look up "ozone generators"
Creates ozone in your house, killing everything inside of it
Youd have to find somewhere to go for like 3 days, but it should kill the mice, AND any mold/bacteria they've been propagating
Id also just double check that theyre humane, but it should just suffocate them
Oh i guess youll have dead mice in your walls, but i spent to much time typing this so

Earplugs
Beat the root cause. Fill up any holes and gaps in your house, from inside and out. Close them up professionally for a permanent solution or diy fill them with steel wool. Don't leave food sitting around, use plastic food crates or cabinets that actually close. If mice can't enter/leave, or of they don't have food, there will be no mice. Prevention is the only humane way. Catching mice with traps, whether humane or not is useless in most cases. You can keep going forever. If they live in your walls there is likely dozens and they make babies constantly. Get to the root of the cause.
this + trapping some will let the remaining mice know theres enough room/resources to breed another round.
>most humane method
>dont care whether method is inhumane
Shoot them in the face with an airgun pistol. Works for me.
Or pic related
Make a mini rodent auschwitz and hold rodent trials to sentence them for their crimes and punish them with execution.
6 million mice? Okay that's believable actually mice frick a lot.
I seen a webm of a guy sticking a snake in to the hole where the electric socket was and a few seconds later a bunch of rats started coming out of the hole. He had a bucket under the hole and he would push them in when they started coming out.
I am certain that is fake. If I let my snake into a hole he sure as hell is not coming out any time soon, especially if there's food in there
I lived with a roommate who was admittedly a bit of a psycho when it came to mice. He’d lay glue traps until it trapped a few mice in our shitty rented home and then he’d literally kill them with a claw hammer. He figured this would teach other mice to frick off if he left it out for a while afterwards. Deeply concerned how that guys living now.
>american houses have hollow walls
the absolute state
Watch a few Indonesian videos on YouTube. They are creative when it comes to rat traps.
The "easiest" way to deal with them is to just get a decently sized glass or ceramic bowl similar to pic related and fill it with a bit of peanut oil, enough that the mice will get covered in it but not so much that they'll drown. Place it in the problem area with something next to it to act as a step so that the mice can jump up onto the rim of the bowl, and leave it overnight. The mice will smell the peanut oil and will jump into the bowl looking for food. Once they're in the oil pool they won't be able to jump back out and you can collect them and do whatever you want with them in the morning. It sounds dumb but this is far and away the most effective method I've ever personally used to live-catch mice without hurting them.
You can fill a plastic tub with around an inch of of warm water mixed with a bit of mild dish soap and let them run around for a few minutes to get any oil off them and they'll be none the worse for wear. Just make sure they can run around with their heads above water so you don't accidentally drown them.
Once you've caught them you can either release them, keep them, or euthanize them, but that's up to you. If you do want to keep or release them, check them for weird lumps, wounds, or sores. Lots of mice are carriers for some pretty horrendous parasites, and if you find any sick ones then you'll be doing them and the other mice a favor by putting them down. CO2 asphyxiation is the only American Veterinary Medical Association approved way to euthanize rodents and is probably the most humane. You can look up how to do it with baking soda, vinegar, and a relatively airtight container.
>baking soda, vinegar, and a relatively airtight container
The gas will have vinegar vapor and it's no longer a painless quick death.
Go ahead, mix and make the reaction and sniff for a few seconds.
you're not supposed to drop them in the vinegar you dork, you're supposed to add vinegar to an excess of baking soda to prevent that, ideally in a separate chamber.
Why would I want these little fricks to do anything but suffer for stealing my shit and being a pest? They don't have the capacity to apologize or regret their actions, so they're basically telling me to go frick myself with every breath they take. Whats the most painful death I can give them that won't cause a mess?
Why would anyone here help you soulless satanist?
>le widdle mice are gods creation UwU
Frick off
> t. Rat
well yea, he WAS king of israelites
use the balance trap on a really tall bucket, tall enough they cant escape and recreate the mythbuster episode that never aired
By Allah they shall pay for their crimes.
heres a easy diy, though i would get some washers or something to keep the roller from moving along the axle
you have to make sure the walls are tall enough because mice can jump pretty high
You asked for humane ideas and people are giving them to you
dont be a child bro
I'm not the one who asked, new friend. Maybe I should've said "why would anyone".
>Whats the most painful death I can give them that won't cause a mess?
Probably an acid bath.
I thought CO2 was exactly what makes it painful to suffocate?
no, you pass out first, then suffocate, its like dying in your sleep
It is if you're big enough. If you do it right the little guys only have about a second or two of useful consciousness due to their tiny blood volume and fast respiration rate. I'm sure you could use an inert gas as well but CO2 is the standard veterinary method for euthanizing rodents. For a human it would be extremely unpleasant, but for a mouse or rat they'd pass out well before the carboxylic acid can properly build up in their bloodstream and cause the suffocation response.
Ok it's time for bed
no kill traps that will just lock them in a plastic tube so you can release them off in the woods
Wont be much use unless you seal off whatever entrance they are using
I have one but it’s buried under a foot or two of snow so yeah
They die in nature anyways, except it's death by predator or starvation or exposure instead. That's why they come to your house, because it's warm and has food. If you want them gone at least kill them relatively quick.
>catch mouse in no-kill trap
>feed to ball python
That's actually ethical tbh, better that way than starving and cold or getting killed by a cat for amusement and not food.
Everything dies, anon. If they're native species they should be abble to survive in the wilds.

get a cat
smoke them out bro. make sure to turn off your smoke alarms and don't use any wood that's been treated or whatever. small controlled fire in your main room for about an hour should get them to move on.
Dozens of snap traps.
poison, glue traps are only useful if you got 1 or 2 to deal with, if you got a nest you need to poison or use a self-resetting trap like the water bucket one
Don't use poison, cause poisoned rodents can be eaten by predators, poisoning them.
two for one special is what we call that
True + plus they die inside your walls and then they rot. Best to close every hole and gap except for one that is directly connected to a food trap they can enter but not leave. Catch and release every day until they don't come out anymore, the seal the remaining hole.
recommend water bucket, i live near fields and regularly get mice in my house when they are being worked. water bucket in each room for a week and they are gone. clean your house after, there will be shit, piss and babies everywhere depending on how long it went on.
