After Katrina all the pet shops and crazy pets people owned got loose and headed into the everglades. Its one of the craziest eco disasters of all time.
So a black haired ,upright Orang-utan escaped from a zoo and no one ever reported it. In all my years of searching I have never found any evidence to suggest that black haired, upright Orang-utan’s exist let alone one existing in a Florida zoo.

The picture is from the year 2000 zoom zoom. Photo shop sucked back then. It’s already been proven not to be photoshopped or altered in anyway. It was originally taken on a none digital camera.
It's piss easy to make a realistic looking ape suit for shitty camera snaps/footage. You can hide the wearers body shape with padding and fake limb proportions and non-articulated parts (joints do not line up with wearer's, reduces range of motion but its ok because then they'll walk/pose like a monkey) and this stuff dropped off hard as soon as everyone had a much better camera with them
I saw some recent "skunk ape" footage and it had a distinctly human gait despite them trying to take it in low light far away so they really aren't even trying anymore. People put more effort into stuff before the 2010s hit.

Florida has a lot of upright, black haired orangutans running around in the wild?
