australia's fauna is so fricking weak lmao
species that evolved thousands of kilometers away from boganland are more adapted to the place than the native ones that had millions of years to do

Cats and dogs are companions of mankind. They have been so for thousands of years, and in dogs case, tens of thousands. Those other animals are actual pests, or did not evolve side by side with us. Domesticated animals are a tribute to man's triumph over nature.

Wrong. These are wild, feral animals that are not native to the Australian continent. Felines never evolved in Australia so the native wildlife can't hand being predated by them at all. They're pests.

Dingos came over 5000 years ago with humans that the australians literally consider fauna. Australia is still doing fine. Dingos are naturalized, and only recently are literal sheep frickers trying to claim suddenly they're invasive and threaten wildlife, as the literal majority of australias land is used for the destructive grazing of massive herds of sheep and cattle. Over 20% of those animals will go to waste as literal unusable garbage.

Oh no, better animals float over the ocean sometimes! The horror! Should we build giant fricking nets in the sky so invasive birds don't outcompete inferior species too?

it is mans duty to violently exterminate life and torture things for fun so the ecosystem never changes! Oh wait, that's stupid. What's the agenda here?
#1: Greedy livestock farming, sheep fricking homosexualS who think they need to rape the earth so they can eat a pound of beef for every meal
#2: Psychopaths want to kill something that reminds them of children - or else they'd go on a campaign against rats.

Fun fact: CATS DO NOT SIGNIFICANTLY ALTER THE EXTINCTION RATE, RATS AND MICE DO, REMOVING CATS CAUSES THE EXTINCTION RATE TO GO UP SLIGHTLY
NEITHER CATS NOR DINGOS ARE ALTERING THE EXTINCTION RATE. INVASIVE RODENTS AND LIVESTOCK GRAZING ARE.

have they at least banned the sales and import of new cats as well as mandatory sterilization for existing ones? Otherwise it's a never ending problem where you cull them on one side and reintroduce them from the other end

What is the problem? Australia is removing an invasive, destructive, rapidly reproducing pest that originated from Africa that is damaging the local ecosystem. Everyone should follow Australia's example.

People are just unkind and don't appreciate nature. My cat has just as much right to exist and native wild species. There is no reason my cat should not be allowed to hunt and kill as many native wild birds as it wants, which is natural for it to do. If it threatens native wild animals with extinction that is just the natural process of my domestic cat bring brought to their space just like any other animal moves around.

The natural argument is so flawed because everything is "as nature intended". You know what else is "natural"? Humans protecting native species. If it threatens your singular pet that is just the natural process of humans sharing the same spaces as your pet and other native animals.

they got lucky with rabbits ONE TIME and failed to realize that they were fighting an animal you could kill if you pick them up up too quickly.

It's sad, but if killing cats saves native species, I'll do it myself.
