What is the difference in forelimb anatomy between carnosaurs and basal coelurosaurs?

Recently came across the opinion that coelurosaurs had "more developed forelimbs", but I did not find any justification for this. Maybe someone knows better.

Didn't ask YOU. I'll somehow get by without someone quoting Wikipedia. Just take your meds (not HRT, other ones) and go to sleep - you're not a real paleontologist.

Why do theropods need such large forelimbs with large claws? Shouldn't they be rudimentary?

grab smaller prey, which makes sense if youre a medium size predator, since you can eat large and smaller things and still gain the required caloric intake, but if youre eating exclusively large creatures, there isnt efficient to hunt smaller creatures, but then you end up with abelsaurids, and who knows what the frick is going on with those things

Allosaurus and yutyrranus are the same thing. Both are wastebaskets. Their forelimbs have the same basal.

Remember that at least a few coleosaurs are actually misidentified juvenile carcharodontosaurids.

I give even odds to the Allosauroids being moved to Coleosauroidiae in the next decade. The honest truth is that there’s not enough work done on the smaller theropods for any of these relationships to be considered robust, never mind all the coattail riding garbage work turning Tyranosauroidae into a wastebasket taxon.

This is all just 'old person doesn't get the internet' isn't it? Not crazy, just poorly adapted to the environment. Of course chatbots are going to pick up your style if you post a hundred times a day for decades. Of course you're going to think that the same obsessive idiot is constantly bringing up the same shit take, because you're not used to how inane internet commentary is and how everyone has the same shit take (in fairness, it's also possible that there actually is a persistent idiot; they are horribly common). Of course you can't regulate your need to rant at strangers who don't matter to you, because you grew up before this productivity-trap was a thing and never learned the reflex to shrug it off and go and do something better (everyone in younger generations who couldn't learn that trick got their life derailed). Of course you think that good writing should be followed by validation and feedback, because you're used to interacting in person where that happens. Of course you come across as weird; you're a boomer posting in a zoomer forum. Of course you flood the place with pointless self-centred rambling; you're old, and that's how old people act when they get bored and lonely.

Jesus Christ, if you spent half the effort you put into seething, insulting people, and boasting about how much of a real palaeontologist you are into actually telling us interesting things about dinosaurs, this board would be vastly improved.
I appreciate that sometimes you say something genuinely interesting, but it's so tedious having to scroll through hundreds of posts of ranting, posturing, and grandstanding, when you could just fricking well contain your urge to shitpost negativity and instead share your obvious enthusiasm for your chosen subject.

Would a real paleontologist, foaming at the mouth, seethe to everyone about his realness on an anime website? He's just a schizo poseur who reads a lot of Wikipedia (perhaps even editing articles for himself).

*And he will also 100% say that you are talking to yourself now. Cuz you know, "paleoschizo" n sheiit.

        >Would a real paleontologist, foaming at the mouth, seethe to everyone about his realness on an anime website?
Possibly. Plenty of academics are completely fricking crazy, and many of them are outright stupid. Also, some of them are old and don't have the mental defences against being baited on the internet that zoomers developed as teenagers.
Even if he's just some moron, he might have something interesting to say. Plenty of obsessive morons actually have some neat knowledge if you can get them to focus in the right way instead of getting distracted by emotions.
I suspect you're right about Wikipedia editing though. There's something about that narcissistic attitude (depending on how accurate his self-description is; it might just be belligerent if he really is a good scientist) which suggests a need to control the narrative. When you dig into it, a horrifying amount of Wikipedia is written by obviously insane people.

The only way for theropods to not devolve into becoming armlets is for them to become vegan, unironically. Just look at therizinosaurus. It's the only theropod who made their arms their main weapon, and this due to them not being reliant on their jaws for defence.
