          >ice cream has contact marks from the lid
          >so does the toad, but it's noticably higher than the level of the icecream
          >so the icecream was opened, creating the first contact marks, then the toad was placed in and closed over it
Son of a b***h, they DID do it after they bought the ice cream.

yeah if it were natural I'd expect the frog to at least be embedded partway inside of the icecream instead of just neatly lying on top

Its a species of false toad, I'm not sure which but apparently that kind of frog species is full of warts like that, I wonder what purpose they serve although that may just be a type of primitive amphibian "body armor" depending on how strong they are.

The "warts" might increase surface area for breathing through the skin, which amphibians do.

Depends on how deep he was frozen. They can survive a few degrees negative c, but industrial icecream packing and transportation freezers are often far, far colder than that.

Most likely, the frog accidentaly got ibto the production chain unnoticed and got creamed.

it's more likely they bought the icecream and then put the frog in it and took a picture after freezing it, for social media points

it's unlikely that a frog would get into an icecream packaging facility
it's likely that someone with a phone and a (optionally dead) frog would get the idea for a funny photo
both are possible, but one seems more likely to me

The factory could be near some wetlnad and rain forced frogs to seek shelter.

Man, how often do you find frogs in your house? Sure it's completely possible for a frog to sneak into an icecream factory and make it all the way to the packing line without ever being seen but chances are so slim. Most likely explanation is that it was put there.

                Occam's razor, look it up.

You can't just say Occam's razor and win the argument. Lol, child's logic. An explanation being simple doesn't mean it's correct

                Occam's razor, look it up.

The fact occam's razor is always mentionned by people who think the simplest answer is the right one really goes to show we live in a disturbingly stupid reality where suffocants invents all sorts of concepts to feel justified in their opinions while being wrong about everything. Its not the simplest answer someone put it in there its a distorted cause and effect that uses your misanthropy to work up artificial scenarios in your head. You can be of the opinion its the "simplest" explication, but it will remain a subjective matter, and that is true for pretty much everything that crappy razor is built for.

                >by people who think the simplest answer is the right one
                But it is.
The simplest explanation that accounts for all the known facts and evidence should be the preferred explanation. You say it's misanthropic but that's completely situational. Ever heard the phrase "don't assume malice when stupidity is a simpler explanation"? Giving people the benefit of the doubt when they make mistakes is also Occam's razor.

                Anonymous

No occam's razor is basically a bullshit explanation for people who think they can get it out to explain their own stupidity and bias given a situation's context, IE what you're doing right now. Nobody couldve put that frog there and assuming so isn't about stupidity or clout but about thinking someone is as low of a moral standpoint as to do that over an industrial accident, but sure thing buddy.

Northern frogs and toads gotta metabolize antigel in their blood before starting a slow cryogenisation process ,can take a week or two while the freeze sets and the soil hardens and they will often burry themselves in mud to minimize direct contact with frozen ice water and snow. where they effectively temporarily die but without ice crystals forming in their body. I'm not sure that toad had been preparing itself for the grand ice cream voyage tho.
