What does our future hold in store for us?

What does our future hold in store for us Wauf? Which super continent will form and what will life be like by then?

Lol. They cant even get the insults right. Who has pinkish-tan cum? Pigskin would make more sense but they are not known for their critical thinking skills.

Everything will have been converted into paperclips by then.

Is it true that the mediterranean sea could cause the next mass extinction event once it closes and the water starts to evaporate?

    >amasia happens
    >earth starts to elongate
    >tectonic cleavage forms in the middle
    >splits into 2 earths

I hope top left if any. It'd be the least deserty due to the pool of water in the middle.

Water will probably flow in continuously as water in the inner lake evaporates, leaving a massively high salinity lake.

Hopefully we get Pangea Ultima. That inland sea is going to be sweet.

Um, there is no future? The earth will be dead because farmers are too selfish to stop killing the land, rednecks are too brain dead to accept EVs, and consoomers are too fat to stop eating steak.

Just another mass extinction to recover from.

There is no recovery for the species of animals that go extinct. Tigers gone forever. Blue whale gone forever. Koalas gone forever. Humans are a disease I wish humans went extinct.

Tigers will be domesticated. There are currently more tigers in America then all of the wild combined.

That doesn't mean life as a whole won't still recover though. Rats and pigeons can radiate out to dominate new niches just like early mammals and birds did after dinosaurs and pterosaurs went extinct. Short of e.g. the moon crashing into Earth no extinction event is too severe for life to recover from after a couple tens of millions of years.

This. Humanity would likely be dead though. Then again we might not be, humans are tenacious bastards when we remember to be.

More niches for cooler species to fill.

Why are people obsessed with pangea? I try to find simulations for a speculative evolution project and all are focused on supercontinents

      Lmao, no
It is impressive how self-hating and yet how arrogant people like you are

Because it's the most likely arrangement for the continents in the future. The way tectonic plates move mean that the continents tend to cycle between periods of pangaea and isolated landmasses, we're currently somewhere near the end of an isolation phase.

i mean evidently it worked but wouldn't you get more (you)s on Wauf or summit

Amasia is what seems to be the most likely future scenario given our current understanding of geography and seismic tomography data.

What's interesting to note is that with the entirety of the Arctic circle being land, we could be looking at another potential global glaciation even like the last time ~700mya when Rodinia spanned the entire Antarctic circle as well as much of the southern hemisphere. Supercontinents on the poles frick with global current circulation and don't allow warm water to move to higher latitudes, coupled with the fact that ice forms far easier on land than out at sea.

Humans are going to live in space so it doesn't make a difference.

Our corporate overlords would prevent it, space isn't profitable and they would rather humanity go extinct then sacrifice even a fraction of a cent of profit.
