We know the stories of the kraken; tales of ships getting wrecked from humongous octupi, but where did they go? I have a theory, here's a colossal squid that washed up on NZ the other day. Pic unrel but link is here. https://www.ndtv.com/offbeat/once-in-a-lifetime-sighting-giant-deep-sea-squid-carcass-washes-up-on-new-zealand-beach-3339633
NZ is close to Antarctica with ice melting deep sea creatures and unknown species are appearing. Could this be true
bump
bump for what
More like colossal bitch. Thanks for being shrimp food for my lil buddies.
Looks like seaweeds are more of a bitch
>NZ is close to Antarctica with ice melting deep sea creatures and unknown species are appearing
These things have always been there, they didn't go away. They are just rarely seen because they live in very deep water and if they end up sick or dead on the surface there's a hell of a lot of water for you to be in the right place at the right time to see it before it's gobbled up by something else. My buddy saw one dead only a few miles out off the coast fishing, also in nz, after going to see what a bunch of seagulls were looking at. I'd say they almost certainly inspired the stories, imagine being a sailor back in the day who had never heard of such a species and one day by chance there's this big squid fucker on the surface and when you go for a look it starts grabbing at the boat. I'm pretty sure too that there's been whales with scarring on them from suckers bigger than any specimen we have had
The squid shown in the article is a giant squid, colossal squids are a totally different species. They have a thick mantle, larger eyes, and short tentacles with hooks (the one on OP pic). They are also very rare because you can only encounter them around Antartica. Giant squids are found almost everywhere and the legend of the Kraken is probably inspired by sightings of dying giant squids by sailors. They are known to hold on boats and surfboards but they don't try to sink them.
OP’s pic is a colossal squid, it has the short tentacles and thick’s mantle
Never mind I’m retarded and didn’t see the article or that you mentioned it
The stories about sea krakens are most likely sailors watching giant whale penises on the surface but I do like your theory
Jesus christ its nessie
Dude imagine grabbing it and jerking off the whale and hosing a boat down with cum as a prank
>hosing a boat down with cum as a prank
Now I know why they call it sperm whale
it's actually called a sperm whale because of the liquid inside of its head
Dumb cumbrains.
I know, i just wanted to post Carlos
Actually it was named after your mom
You just wanted to post a whale dick, didn't you?
Yeah I saw one when I went whale watching in the patagonia atlantic coast and it was awesome.
>the infamous loch ness monster photograph was just a freshwater whale sunbathing his cock
imagine having such a massive penis that images of it create urban legends of cryptids
>imagine having such a massive penis that images of it create urban legends of cryptids
I don't have to imagine.
The original kraken wasn’t described as a giant squid or octopus. It was described as a fish so big sailors mistook it for an island.
They did find a giant octopus bigger than any known octopus washed up on a beach in the Bahamas, but because they didn’t keep the specimen the species was never classified. The locals claim that these giant octopus live in the “blue holes” underwater cave systems underneath the islands are responsible for the disappearances of divers and swimmers from time to time. They call them the lusca.
There’s no whales in Loch Ness.
>It was described as a fish so big sailors mistook it for an island
Isn't that zaratan?
>NOOO a whale could never make it to Loch Ness and show its penis to everyone NOOO Nessie isn't a cock!!
We have documented cases of whales traveling further than this into fresh water.
more like the cock ness monster
>a fucking whale could make its way over 6 miles of land and then find enough food in a lake to sustain itself AND hasn't been found despite people living in the area for thousands of years
Yes.
Anon that is the river Ness
It's 6 miles of water and whales travel like 40 miles every day
Loch Ness is a lake
You mean people thinking it was a tentacle, right? Even then, that doesn’t explain stories of giant sea monsters accosting ships.
>that doesn’t explain stories of giant sea monsters accosting ships
Drunk bored sailors and big fish.
You're a bunch of dudes who haven't done anything but sail across open water for days, watch after watch, and then one day you sail past a dead squid on the surface and it bumps into the boats and everyone goes "AVAST YA BLEEDIN SEA DOGS! DIDJA SEE THAT KRAKEN ATTACK THE SHIP! THANK GOD AND THE KING OUR CAPTAIN IS SUCH A FINE SEAMAN!"
what no pussy does to a mf
>freshwater whale
That isn't a thing. But it could have been any whale and the photographer could just tell it was taken in loch ness.
>That isn't a thing
It is when your mom goes to the lake.
Fun fact, the skin of whale dick was harvested by whalers and turned into rain slickers.
People knew the intricacies of whales for a long time because of how useful they are as a source for all kinds of things.
I wish my penis was a prehensile tentacle like a whale's. They're so lucky.
How hard would be for a person to convice a whale to let said person masturbate and lick his dick
Asking for a friend
whale cocks are so huge that it probably wouldn't even be able to feel you touching it
Its over
