Was Koko really a fraud or is this all masonic lies?

>Repeatedly see comments calling Koko’s reputation a lie and fraud
>Read Quora posts on the topic
>”ackshually, koko only knew 200 words and didn’t learn English grammar”
>”ackshually, the videos you see of koko are highly edited and don’t show her making nonsensical statements”
>”ackshually, koko didn’t warn humanity about climate change and deforestation, you just saw edited propoganda videos”
Most of the slander is coming from dumbasses who expected Koko to play mozart. Is this a psyop to dehumanize Koko?

Even cats can be trained to communicate using buttons, and people think a fricking gorilla can't do it?

The argument is "She didn't use proper grammar. Therefore those signs were completely meaningless gibberish."

The argument is that human language the order of words implies in different meanings. Koko only made word salads and the woman was the one “interpreting” the meaning. Sure a gorilla can learn a gesture for banana and use it every time it wants a banana but a dog also can understand the word “walk”. Recognizing individual words and using them is different from combining them to express new meanings. I did want this to be true and that other apes were closer to us than they are but sadly this is not the case. I hope things will be better with whales and dolphins.

What about when she askd mr. roggers "what that flower" and gestured at his cuffling. And he said it's the sun, but it does look like a flower.

Imagine a software that just combine words without understanding any of it. The developer wants to convince people that his software can talks so he cherrypick the phrases that seems to be meaningful and edit others to make them look meaningful. Koko would need to form phrases consistently, a handful of cherrypicked cases and edited videos proves nothing.

        >implying language has to be strictly ordered
        >implying improvised communication will be perfect
Have you ever seen how humans communicate in vidya?
You give them voice and text chat, and they will still communicate by wiggling a laser pointers around or having their character model headbang/crouch/jump around insted.

I think it’s very fricked up that they killed her cat just as a test to see how she would react to it on camera.

Koko absolutely was able to communicate at some level.
Recent research has proven that wild gorillas use gestures to signal eachother.
For example if a mother gorilla crosses one foot over her other ankle while walking that's a sign to her offspring to get on her back.
Researchers have identified many of these wild "signs".

    >Show monke an orange
    >Monke do you want the orange?
    >Monke say I want orange
The gorilla proceeds to frenetically move her arms for five minutes straight trying to get the orange
    >See she said I want an orange, give me the orange please
It's the same mental illness that makes people believe their dogs can say I love you

      >eye contact is a practice that is discouraged by primatologists, as apes are likely to interpret eye contact as a challenge or a form of aggressive display.[citation needed] Zoo employees had previously warned her against doing this, but she continued, claiming a special bond with him

      >On another occasion, one of the gorilla's handlers told the woman that Koko wanted to be alone with her. When the woman went to Koko's enclosure, Koko began signing "Let down your hair. Lie down on the floor. Show your breasts again. Close your eyes," before beginning to squat and breathe heavily.

She knew how to communicate at some capacity with gestures but it was greatly embellished. Chimps and orangutans can also learn how to specifically ask for beer and cigarettes or watching television, etc.
