This meaty lower jaw looks ridiculous and unrealistic. Why can't snowflakes realize that theropod jaws simply aren't predisposed to having lips? Is it somehow connected with the negative selection of humanity in the last couple of decades?

Looks just like a real animal OP.
Weird how these threads are always samefag city.
it's paleoschizo
he's convinced all dinosaurs look like the original Jurassic park and thinks it's all a conspiracy
If they don't have lips then how would they kiss?
Stupid.
they'd french kiss
>paleoschizo is proud he writes impenetrable walls of text
i literally do not remember the default reply box expanding at all
same
I noticed it expanding a year or two ago.
is new as fuck
I think Wauf X added it first and then default Wauf copied it but I never noticed anything expanding until I used Wauf X
I never used Wauf X so I didn't see it until it went native. Even then I was so used to non-expanding box I didn't notice the thing until I accidentally dragged the corner when I was drunk one time.
we need a dinosaur general to keep these schizos in their containment threads and stop their gayy spam when they're having a schizo episode
two generals, one named /feathered/ and the other named /THEYDIDN'THAVEFEATHERS/
>/THEYDIDN'THAVEFEATHERS/
Sums up the paleoschizo pretty well. Almost exactly the same as the infamous
>SONIC'S ARMS ARE NOT BLUE!!!!
What's up with this?
obsessed. they look just like real animals.
Well, it solves the overbite problem people are bringing up in this thread.
They certainly didn't have underbites like that.
>overbite problem
If the anatomy tells us they had an overbite, that isn’t an
>overbite problem
It’s an
>overbite observation
But a couple inches of overbite on a 3 foot jaw is basically nothing, it’s about like my 2mm overbite. Especially since it’s not like they have incisors.
A fleshed out skull with gums and lips will render this underbite invisible, and allow the animal to drink water from pools less than a meter deep, which some other reconstructions don’t really allow.
Holy fuck, you need to learn how to use greentext, Mr. reddit tourist.
he did fine
you seem to be new here though
No, reddit spacing is pretty bad with him.
yep
if you weren't such a newfag you'd know it's Wauf spacing and we were doing it before reddit existed.
hell, if you weren't such a lazy fucking cunt you could go back through the archives and see "reddit spacing" on Wauf before reddit existed.
>oh no he reddit spaced to spite me!
Cope.
again, I've been "reddit spacing" longer than reddit has been on the internet.
I'm not doing it to spite you. I'm doing it to separate sentences and make it easier for retards and children to read them.
it's actually how you can spot oldfags here.
it's also how we spot newfags like you.
It's not easier for anyone to read. You're doing it for no real reason, or because you have some sort of autistic quirk.
>It's not easier for anyone to read.
You say that but currently you're reading less than 1/4 of what I write
If I skip the spacing you read none of it.
I read what's relevant in your posts, and not what's just you having a sperg tantrum. If you're talking about the lip discussion shit, that wasn't me arguing with you.
>I read what's relevant in your posts
you don't but it doesn't matter.
my spacing and my posts aren't necessarily aimed at you even if I reply to you.
Doesn't stop me from replying to you. And the fact that you have some strange aversion to using a feature that allows you to write like a normal person would screams autism even louder.
you're talking to at least 3 different oldfags now, puke
I do like the irony of you coming here from reddit and complaining about oldfags' "reddit spacing" and telling them they "have to go back."
that's a joke of Wauf proportions.
>You're talking to three literally who's on a glorified board
Woah! I'm in for it now! Write like a normal person, buddy.
we're teaching you how to not be such an obvious newfag
it's up to you what you do with that knowledge.
if you insist on shitting up the board I get it. That's what it's here for.
hm
nah
>And the fact that you have some strange aversion to using a feature that allows you to write like a normal person would screams autism even louder.
Its Wauf spacing retard
It makes it easier to proofread your own posts in the tiny reply box. Take your shitty neo-Wauf memes and cram it.
I'm guessing it's autism then, since you're using it as some sort of training wheel writing form to make coherent sentences in a reply box that's expandable.
>in a reply box that's expandable.
you really are new
>you really are new
Before Wauf X + appchan
Before the built in extension
We mostly used oneechan, which had a fixed reply box in a sidebar with a picture of your waifu
And it's easier to just space your posts than fuck with box sizes (which triggers my autism btw)
Note the lack of engagement with content.
Hm yes, it seems one with lips would be more like a real animal.
>just
>like
>real
>animals
Glowbot spotted. Classic. Shoo! There is no onion milk here.
I think he was joking
It’s just the reference they use, the final model doesn’t have the skull under it. Same reason if you look at the making of the jungle book remake the tiger’s jaw is all wonky with a similar underbite in the muscle stage but the actual final model looks fine
>This meaty lower jaw looks ridiculous and unrealistic.
It looks even worse on silhouettes.
>It looks even worse on silhouettes.
that's drawn entirely to make it look better.
go ahead, try erasing that mental projection and see what it looks like with an enormous overbite and locked PM occlusion.
pic related
I dunno, dude. it's not that bad.
>it's not that bad
that's not an accurate restoration based on PM tooth wear facets.
What the occlusion facets of the PM teeth should tell you is that the lower jaw didn't close all the way.
which we already knew because closing it completely would've shoved the lower teeth through the roof of the mouth. Meaning the skull in your pic has a dislocated jaw that couldn't move like that in real life.
>What the occlusion facets of the PM teeth should tell you is that the lower jaw didn't close all the way.
But the facets show that the teeth slid past one another, wouldn't that mean that the jaws would close further in theropods?
>But the facets show that the teeth slid past one another
no, they show that the teeth ground against each other and stopped
there was nowhere for the teeth to slide past, you know? If the tooth ground against the middle of the opposing tooth, it would've ground against the base as well. The facets don't usually extend to the base, meaning the teeth stopped grinding and the jaw didn't close completely.
So like every animal with lips?
like every animal with teeth, whether they have lips or not.
You literally make this thread every week
it'd be every day if it weren't for 7 day bans
Unfortunately there's probably several
nah he likes to pretend there's several but when he gets banned all posting stops completely.
he just samefags the shit out of everything pretending to be multiple insane people.
>Why can't snowflakes realize that theropod jaws simply aren't predisposed to having lips?
Until you can give a detailed account of how exactly the upper and lower teeth occluded, your thoughts aren't worth a week-old wet shit.
excellent.
distal lingual wear facets on the premaxillary teeth. Is that my picture I made for you?
If those teeth occlude at the midpoint of one and tip of the other, what does that say about the occlusion of every other tooth in the jaw?
It says they had dick sucking lips honestly
kek
it says nothing about whether they had lips
it says something about whether they didn't.
They definitely had lips.
>They definitely had lips.
why's that?
It is self evident
>It is self evident
ah, spiritual evidence.
cool
schizophrenic people are closed loops
if they had a passing occlusion on the PM teeth that would indicate extensive overlap of teeth and jaw, requiring a deep buccal pouch to accomodate
if there was a locking occlusion of the PM-anterior dentary teeth then no such buccal pouch would be required, and in fact many of the prettiest death poses would indicate dislocated and disarticulated jaws.
Wouldn't it be like this though?
no. Theropod jaws couldn't move forward and backward like human jaws, so the only way those teeth would wear against each other is if they touched when the jaw closed.
They had lips. Big meaty soft lips. And really wet, flexible tongues.
You, dogfuckers, are truly disgusting.
I don't see why they couldn't have large throat sacks/fleshy bits like iguanas do. Those wouldn't show in fossils
The Titanosaur actually did if that one documentary series is anything to go by. It isn't. It is all speculation.
Another shitty dinosaur thread made for the sole purpose to start autistic arguments about the subjective and theoretical. Probably the same one or two people from a faggy ass discord group.
Draw your own dinosaurs then.
Theropods had beaks.
